*Learning Lessons* Dimple × Reader (Backstory Part 3)

Today was Monday...
Your soon-to-be first day on your new job..
Mob came in with a box, you tilted your head as he walked towards you.
"What's in the box, Shigeo?"
Mob placed the box down on your desk, "Dimple isn't able to come in to school since he's still in that one body he possessed from our day at the restaurant, he's in Spirits and Such with Reigen right now. He bought you some doughnuts for breakfast, just in case you were hungry."
You blushed and opened the box to find a whole dozen doughnuts.
"Dimple got this all for me..??" You blinked, looking at all the different doughnuts.
"He said he wasn't sure which one you liked, so he got you a variety of them."
You smiled, "Well, thank you for the delivery, Shigeo!"
He smiled back as you patted his head.
You continue, "I can't wait to work with you guys, I'm sure they're as sweet as you and Dimple."
Mob blushed, "Thank you Ms. (L/N)." He bowed.

All throughout your classes, you've been eating a donut here and there and you've finally reached the end of the day. You stretched and packed up your things, while doing so, Mob stopped in your empty classroom.
"Are you ready to leave, Ms. (L/N)?"
It surprised you that he came to you to walk to work on his own, you thought he would end up having body improvement club at this hour.
"Oh! Sure!" You grab your things and walk side-by-side with Mob out of the school and onto the street.
You looked over to him, "So, what about that club you mentioned?"
Mob smiled, looking ahead as he spoke, "I told them there was something important I needed to do."
You tilt your head, "What's that?"
"To be there for your first day."
"Awww, Shigeo!!"

Once you approached the office, Mob opened the door for you, you bowed with a vibrant smile, "Good to see you all!!"
You placed your stuff down so you could organize everything when Dimple approached you, "So.. Did ya like my gift?"
You pushed him playfully as blush rose on your cheeks, "Oh stop it, you're too sweet. I can't belive you got me all that!"
He laughed, "Figured you might only drink some coffee in the morning, I wish I could've stopped to drop them off."
Reigen was eaves dropping, "What gift?"
You smiled, "He bought me some doughnuts for work."
Reigen raised his eyebrows, a smirked formed on his face, "You don't usually do that stuff for just anyone!~"
Him and Dimple began to argue when you notice a man caught up in work.
You walk up to him, "Hey, I'm a new coworker! I'm (Y/N), super nice to meet you!"
You held a hand to shake, it was a soft handshake for a large man.
"I-I'm Serizawa, happy to work with you!"
You curiously gaze at his work, "What's this?"
"Ah! I'm finishing up school work at the moment!" He scratched the back of his head sheepishly.
"I can sense you're an esper, you're quite strong!" You smile.
Memories from his past hazed back into his mind, he fiddled with his hands trying to keep his mind off of it, "T-thank you very much..! You seem pretty strong yourself!"
"I train a lot for self-defense.." You chuckle.
"Interesting, at least you'll be better prepared than me to face off paranormal monsters."
Your shade paled, "I can't handle a lot of scary things, you guys would probably have to walk me through the process a bit.."
Serizawa laughs, "No worries! If you need help or anything just ask!"
"I should say the same thing for you!" You point at his work.
"I'm supposed to be making a persuasive argumentative essay, what about it?" Serizawa cocked his head to the side.
"I'm a language arts teacher, I can give you some writing tips sometime!"
"I guess you couldn't have decided to work here at a better time!"
You both laughed.
Only then did you look back to see Dimple staring at you, he looked blushy, probably from all the arguing with Reigen.
"Something wrong..?"
He huffed, "No, I'm fine." His eyes gaze in a different direction.
Reigen snickered, "Are you jealous??~~"
"OH SHUT UP WITH THAT, WILL YOU!!"
You giggled, making them both stop arguing, "I'm just making friends with a coworker, no hard feelings, I want you all to be like a second family to me!"
"A second family? I assume you both have one together?" Reigen cooed.
"REIGEN, SHUT UP!!" You and Dimple yell in unison, Serizawa jumped at the loud noise and chuckled.
Mob smiled, he knew from all the ruckus you've made already that you would fit in perfectly. He was happy he could help you have fun and make new friends.

Your first exorcise request came up. "Apparently some hikers tripped down an old abandoned mine and couldn't get back out, they died of starvation and blood loss days later." Reigen explained, "Just be careful."
You shiver at the story, "I'd rather not find a dead body lying around here.."
Dimple wrapped an arm around you with a chuckle, "Don't worry, these jobs are quick."
The cave started getting darker, you started to shake in fear as your psychic aura lit up the cave, it wasn't intentional, you just had an eerie feeling at the pit of your stomach.
They all look to you, you were barely audibly whimpering and hugged closer to Dimple, "I feel like I'm gonna die here..."
Reigen was about to attempt to say something comforting before Mob jumped, "Master, I feel something!" You could tell his voice held a frantic tone, you started to cry and whimper louder as your aura became brighter.
Your aura found it's way to the silhouette of an evil spirit, "It's strong!!" Serizawa pointed out.
A limb off of the mutant spirit nearly hit you and Dimple, Dimple flinched before he realized you had a shield up the entire time you were walking down the strip of the cave.
While Mob and Serizawa were fending off the spirit as Reigen stood beside them and cheered them on, you sat in the sidelines with Dimple.
"You obviously have had these powers for ages if you act on pure instinct using them." Dimple tried to take your mind off of the spirit by taking a turn on the topic.
"I've had these powers my whole life," you wipe away tears from your face, "I've had people try to hurt me when I was about Shigeo's age, I had to learn how to defend myself."
Dimple nodded, "I see. If you feel like staying over here then there's no stopping you, you're still new to the job and we understand."
"I've never seen a spirit so large and mutant-like..." You looked at the ghost.
Dimple smirked, "Well if you find the courage, don't be afraid to step in, if not, I'll be here to keep you company."
You sighed and thought it out for a second before clenching your fist and furrowing your brows, "Y'know what? I'll try my best, I don't want Reigen to think I'm not fit for the job."
You rose up from the ground, Dimple looked up at you, "Good luck! If you decide otherwise I'll be here when you need me!"
A smile appeared on your face as you looked back at him, "I'll always need you, dummy." You kneeled down and lifted his chin and gave him a gentle peck on the lips, you ruffled his hair and winked at him before heading towards the threatening spirit.
Dimple blinked, blush filled his cheeks as he looked up to watch you fend off the ghost, you almost look fearless.
"How does she suddenly get all that courage so quickly..?" Dimple whispered to himself.

Finally the spirit broke down and you all exorcised it. Dimple got up and walked out with you all.
"What was all that?" Dimple asked, looking down at you.
"Did I surprise you? I wanted to try to impress you." You blush a bit fiddling with your hands.
"That's something else to face your fears just to impress me, that's very admirable."
You giggle with a vibrant smile.
"I actually thought I'd die when I first started attacking that thing.." You chuckle at yourself.
"You're definitely worthy to work here, no doubt." Dimple faced forward with a smirk.

You got to the office when Reigen hands you an envelope.
You open it to find..
"... Money..?"
"For your courage. I could tell you pushed yourself past your limits." Reigen smiled.
"That's very nice of you! Thank you so much!!" You smile and pull him into a hug.
Reigen hesitantly hugged you back, he didn't expect you to do that. You quickly pulled away, "Was that too much..?? You are my boss.."
Reigen laughed, "You're just fine."
You smile and sigh, "Good!"
Serizawa came up to you, "Yeah! You did really well for your fist time on the job!" He added with a smile.
"Thank you!" You bowed.
Mob came up and gave you a big hug, you hugged him back.
"I'm glad you decided to join us, you were a big help." Mob spoke gleefully.
"I'm glad I was! I'm sorry I didn't step in when I should have.."
You looked up to see Dimple, he didn't favour all the attention you were getting, you laughed, "Come and give me a hug, I won't bite!"
Dimple came up to hug you tightly, you hugged him back and gave him a quick kiss on the cheek when no one was watching.
"Don't be so jealous~"
He grumbled, "Oh don't start.." blush dusted his cheeks.
