Marco sliced the last dead body, taking on his hand the silver ball. His clothes once more became white from black and he joined the rest of the team he was assigned with. It was a group of four and Marco was the one of them.

"Man, I am so beat up!" the first spoke, under his black hood and placed his purple scythe on his back.

"At least let's hope we'll get some days off for Christmas!" the other two spoke with a voice, carrying their orange and yellow scythes on their hands.

"What about you Fallen? What are your plans for the holidays?" the one with the purple scythe spoke with stern voice.

Marco's clothes changed back onto black after sending away the last ball of light and smirked at the rest Grim Reapers.

"I have a little princess waiting for me; I hope to tease her this year too."

The last golden ball was hanging from the branches of our Christmas tree, illuminating the living room, as the small lights were shining.

"Wow!' Kachina and Haimei spoke with a voice and flew all around the room excited.

Perseus, on the other hand, was sitting on the couch with a pleased smile, looking with superiority at the other two.

"Ana! Please come and help in the kitchen!"

"I am coming Mom!"

As I placed the boxes back to the attic I turned to the stairs heading to the right room, where our kitchen was.

Please be careful and don't break anything.

The three nodded and I dove into the sweet smell of chocolate and caramel. Mom was giving her best and the holidays were the few occasions where all the family was gathered.

After my cold was cured, I realized that I could handle better the spirit energy of both my spirits and my surroundings; since then I worked in several cases of helping enough spirits moving on and Marco's reports, through our connected eyes, were becoming better and better.

For once I avoided going out when the festivities began and I called the girls home, spending the holidays together; Helen's parents were going on holiday together for their anniversary and Christin's Mom was assisting her dad in the hospital for the night shift, since they were both doctors.

"Can I put the griddle into the oven Mrs. Joanna?"

"It's alright Helen, you can put it in."

"Are these well cut?"

"Excellent Christin! I will do the cleaning now."

"Let me help you Mom."

Mom looked at me and chuckled; she hugged me and the scent of cinnamon and chocolate made me grin.

"Go and have fun with your friends. I can handle from here."

"Are you sure?"

"Yes, honey. Go now."

Taking Helen and Christin back to the living room, I was relieved to find Persea, playing cards (invisible to the others, thank God) and Kachina staring at the Christmas tree, humming a chant.

"Thank you for having us today Ana!"

"No problem Christin. Mom and Dad are glad too to have more people!"

"How about Marco?" Helen asked troubled and I lowered my head.

"Well, he has work to do. There no need to mention him now."
