THE LEGEND OF THE ZANALIAN CRYSTALS

CHAPTER FOUR

Sunday night and every one was happy and enjoying the party except Laila, Jordan haven't said a word to her since the crystal chosen her and she wasn't happy, how was he going to ask her out? she knows her father will do anything to get the crystal away from her even if he has to kill her.

But then Laila looked around and realized every one was staring at her pointing at her and whispering to each other, she was confused, why were they all staring at her.

"Laila is it true, why didn't you tell me" Tania said more surprised than she had ever been "i can't believe minister Alfred Renee.... is your father"

Laila stood there staring, she was speechless all her life her father always rejected, he was ashamed that a great knight like him had a female for a child.

"yes yes i know you're all surprised but it's true Laila is my daughter" minister Alfred Renee said proudly placing his hands on Laila's shoulder.

Ever since Laila's mother died the only thing she wanted most in her life was for her father to except her and now her wish has come true, her father is finally being proud of her,.

"no sir, no"Laila said removing his hand from her shoulder "ever since mum died you've been nothing but torture to me and now your acting like your proud of me simply because of my crystal"

"wh-wh-what do you mean darling"minister Alfred said trying to control his temper.

"I'm saying you never wanted me and now i don't want you" Laila said and turned around to walk away.

"yeah walk away, walk away like you always do it's what you do best"Minister Alfred said
Laila turned to face him and said "that's enough "
But Alfred didn't stop "you don't deserve that crystal the only thing you ever do is walk away "
"enough" Laila said trying to control his temper
"walk away just like your fucking mother"Alfred said
"ENOUGH" Laila said angrily
"you know your mother never really loved you, no has ever loved you and no one ever will...."Alfred was saying but Laila cuts in
"I SAID THAT'S ENOUGH" Laila yelled at the top of her voice and swirling slat of fire began to burn in a circle around here, heavy wind started blowing and the ground started shaking, the ZANALIAN crystals was glowing in her hand as she had lost her temper because of what her father said.
The wind was blowing so heavily it lifted everything and everyone in the air.
"Laila please stop" Tania yelled with her legs in the air holding the window tight, to avoid being blown away "he doesn't know what he's saying he's a monster but i know you're not, your special Laila, and your mother loves you very much and i love you Laila, i always have and i always will"

Tania's words softened Laila's heart and slowly she reduced the pressure of the wind, stopped the fire and the vibration of the earth and slowly dropped herself to the ground, this was the first time she was using this much powers in her life.

Tania ran to her and raised her head to a sitting position kneeling down beside her.
"I'm sorry"Laila muttered weakly
"no Laila you don't have to be sorry it's not your fault" Tania said "come on let's get you to bed"Tania helped Laila get on her feet and they slowly walked towards their room with everyone staring speechlessly.
"make everything back to normal"Laila whispered to the crystal and the party was back to normal

Laila was sitting alone in her room staring at her hair pin - it was her most prized possession, the only thing she inherited from her mother, red with pink glittery roses - she had forced Tania to go back to the party. Many thoughts were running through her mind, she had tried everything but the crystal was always comes back to her, if she stays here her father will make her lose her temper again and again and she might kill someone and she knows Jordan has plans for her.

she put the pin back in her hair picked up her bag and up a few important things, left a note and jumped out the window, she was hoping to die but a bunch of weeds caught her in mid air and slowly dropped her to the ground, returning to their normal size, she was running far into the dark woods she has never been out before, she knew she was going to miss Tania but it was for the best.

It soon began to rain and as Laila ran into the clearing she was shocked by what the lightning reviled it was Jordan holding his sword high with blood on his hands and sword
"get up and fight"he yelled murderously
Laila kept the crystal in her bag and dropped it under a tree to avoid extra powers, she pulled out her sword, held it up high ready for the fight.
