Every member of the Van der Linde gang and even various lawmen knew that if you wanted a job done well, they needed to put you and Arthur on the job. You hadn't been with the gang since the beginning, Arthur ran with Dutch for about twenty years but you didn't join them until much later.

Still, almost as soon as you joined the gang, you had been working with Arthur. It soon became very clear that the two of you worked together, able to communicate quickly and silently if the situation called for it. Separately, you were excellent shots, smart, quick, and efficient. Together, you were a force to be reckoned with.

If you needed a job done right, you were the duo that should be sent out. And that didn't change now as you escaped the massacre at Blackwater, got away from the law pursuing you, and disappeared into the sunset for lack of a better description. You wouldn't really call the abandoned little cabin you took shelter in 'the sunset' but it could have been much worse.

Gun ready in hand you searched the cabin, just in case there was anyone else held up here, while Arthur secured the door shut.

"I can't believe he just walked away!" Arthur called out to you, frustration clear in his voice, as you checking the small rooms in the back. "'You're like a son to me' he said, what bullshit" he mumbled to himself, slinging his rifle off of his shoulder and placing it on the dusty wooden table.

"He talks a lot of shit, barely any of it true. C'mon, he was talking about living on Tahiti and farming Mangoes by the end of the year. That's some bullshit right there" you scoffed as you walked back into the main room, holstering your gun and placing your things down on the table beside Arthur's belongings.

"I can't believe I listened to him for so long" Arthur sighed, sounding disappointed with himself, as he sat down lazily on the couch.

Arthur cursed to himself as he turned to find you missing from his side. The two of you had somehow lost each other in the chaos that had broken out in Blackwater. Even as the score was being planned, you and Arthur had discussed how you didn't like the sound of it. It had been Micah's idea after all and that was never a good thing.

Needing to get out of the open, Arthur secured his grip on his gun and fell back from the gunfire, rounding a corner of some brick building. He didn't know the up-and-coming city well, maybe that was why he rounded a third corner that only led him to a brick wall.

He rolled his eyes before turning to head back in the direction he came, only to freeze when he saw two men walking around the corner with their guns aimed at him.

Arthur slowly raised his hands so that they didn't shoot him. Even when he had two guns trained on him, all he could do was worry about if you found yourself in a similar situation. Though, he doubted you were in too much trouble. If you were, you would be able to get out of it. You always managed to impress and surprised the gang, it was something that he admired about you.

Snapping out of his thoughts, he watched as the two men approached him slowly. Like he was a wild animal and they were just waiting for him to snap. But he didn't move. He figured that being arrested was better than being shot, if he just ended up behind bars he knew that you would come and get him out before he hung.
