Dedicated to isabelle009 for voting on the last chapter. Thanks girl! I included some mood music for when things get a little intense. I literally had this song on repeat while I was writing this. Let's turn up the heat...

Harry Styles:

My arms drifted aimlessly at my sides as I floated on the water, relishing the slight morning breeze that blew over my skin. Most of the time, clouds were nowhere to be found, but today they hung in the sky like a silent gift, partially deflecting the Sun's rays. Maybe they know I have campers in every session today. The summer temperatures were definitely rising, making me even more thankful that I was assigned to the lake as opposed to the football field. I love the sport, but playing it constantly in this heat would have been torture. As least down here I have a giant body of water waiting to cool me off. I remember complaining back in England when it got up to the mid-eighties. I hadn't even been that lucky here. We hadn't had a day below ninety since I arrived.

"You're going to turn into a prune mate." Connor piped up from the edge of the dock.

I chuckled, lifting my hands out of the water to examine them. They were getting slightly wrinkly, but it didn't bother me in the slightest. "Maybe I can get out of kitchen duty tonight, yeah? A prune can't wash dishes." I asked, moving in an upright position so I could see him.

Connor shook his head, playing with the Deathly Hallows symbol that was centered on his chest. I really needed to get me one of those.  "Nah. You'd just be more attractive to the cafeteria ladies."

"Now that you mention it, I think Berta has a thing for me." I grinned, the image of the graying, elderly woman popping into my head. For some unknown reason she had taken a liking to me, always serving me a slightly larger helping than everyone else. Not that I was complaining.

"Blind as a bat, that woman."

"Someone's jealous." I snickered and swam closer to the dock, holding on to the edge.

"Why are you out here anyways? It's nearly an hour before breakfast." He asked, taking a seat on the dock beside me.

I shrugged. "I don't know. I like it."

"I swear you two are more alike every day."

"Who?"

"You and Nat. She was always on the water."

I raised an eyebrow. "Really? I don't think I've seen her within 50 yards of it since camp started."

"Probably because you're here all the time."

"All the more reason to come if you ask me." I smirked, floating on my back once again. I automatically closed my eyes as the clouds moved again, exposing the sun in its full glory.

"Bet she loves that attitude." He teased.

"Absolutely." If constantly rolling her eyes and glaring at me was a sign of her affection, then she definitely loved it.

"Yeah, that's why your nose is swollen right?"

I sat up again, shooting him a glare and he burst into laughter. "You're lucky I don't have something to throw at you right now." I warned, trying to maintain a threatening expression. I swam back over to the dock, attempting to grab his leg to pull him in, but he moved before I could reach him. We'll see about that. I splashed him instead, soaking his khaki shorts.

"Oh come on, you have to admit it's hilarious."

I nodded. Under different circumstances, I probably would have been pissed. But we were in front of the kids and honestly I was so shocked that she did it, I couldn't process anything else. Plus, it was kind of hard not to laugh when she was cackling so hard that she couldn't even sit up straight. I don't think I had ever seen her laugh before, but she was practically dying. "It was. Hurt like hell though. That girl's got an arm."
