Harley was just chilling on the bed, eyes closed and on the edge of sleep, when he heard the door creak open. Then it slowly closed shut, Harley catching a glimpse of Peter leaving the room.
He slowly sat up, curious on why Peter left. Then again, this gave him a chance to investigate about Patricia.
He scurried over to the desk and opened up his laptop. Yes, he brought his laptop. You'd do the same!
He quickly typed in some notes to get his brain thinking. He thinks, knows, there's a connection with Natasha and Peter. Along with this Spider-Man dude.
First clue: The individual who sang the nursery rhyme, as Clint stated, swung off and did some snazzy parkour and flips along the way. Clearly it's Spider-Man! Who else could swing off like that?
Second clue: Peter stated his parents died in a plane crash. Later on he stated that he only had a mother who had gone missing. Perhaps they used women to create a soldier and Natasha was the only successful one.
This being the reason Peter felt uncomfortable about the topic. He didn't wanna be known as an experiment.
Harley stared at the notes intently as if they'd summon an answer to his problems.
The only problem with it all was that Patricia and Peter aren't the same gender. Unless... unless Patricia is actually a he and became Peter.
Cute, smart, and mysterious Peter.
Harley hummed happily to himself but quickly shook his head. Now's not the time to be love sick!
Harley glanced towards Peter's bag, which was still packed up. Maybe... maybe he can find some sort of clue.
No! That's just plain rude.
But...
Harley groaned. Okay! Either he can be a good boyfriend and not go through his stuff or possibly reunite a family. He did say he'd do whatever it takes to make Auntie Tasha smile again.
Harley glanced around the room and lifted the bookbag. A small buzz of quilt washed up and he groaned, dropping the bag.
He's gonna have to ask Peter himself. Ask one: if he's trans and two: if he's Spider-Man.
He furrowed his brows, if he is Spider-Man, he's sooo gonna panic about his well being. Just thinking about it made him worried.
Maybe, instead of questioning Peter, they can do a blood test! Then they can reunite and finally have their family back!
But if Natasha and Peter aren't related, Natasha will hide away forever! As for Peter, he'd never forgive him.
Harley groaned and pulled his hair in frustration. He was startled when the door opened, revealing Sam and Steve.
"Oh uh... hey Harley." Sam stated with a nervous, awkward grin.
"What are guys doing here?!" He hissed at them. "I'm not in the mood for pranks or-"
"Relax, son. We were just checking in on you."
Harley raised a brow at Steve. "Why?"
"Well we uh... gotta go! Stay in your room and don't let anyone get to you." Sam rushed out and pulled Steve away from the door, closing it in the process.
"What the-" Harley's eyes widened.
Oh no. Is there some sorta attack? An intruder? What about Peter? Where is he? Why'd he leave? Is he safe?
Harley panicked. He made a decision to leave the room but right as he was about to, a voice spoke up.
"Hello, Harley! How are you?"
