Guys Night - Chapter 1

"So, what are you and your gal pals doing tonight for girls' night out?"

Annabeth rolled her eyes, "Never call my friends 'gal pals' again."

"Why not?" Percy chuckled, "I think it sounds adorable."

She shook her head, "It makes you sound like a Vsco Girl."

"A what?" He asked with confusion.

She waved him off, "You're a guy. You wouldn't get it."

"Okay?" he still had no idea what was going on. "So, what are you guys doing?"

She shrugged, "Not much. We're staying the night at one of Piper's dad's apartments in New York. We might go get our nails done and get food beforehand. We're kinda just playing things by ear. What about you guys?"

His face lit up. It was clear that he had only asked about her plans so he could talk about his. "Oh, it's going to be so fun! We're going to go bowling, get pizza, watch movies, eat junk food, maybe even have a pillow fight! My mom and Paul are on a weekend getaway, so we'll have to whole apartment to ourselves!"

She laughed, "That sounds fun. Well, I'm going to go meet up with the others, don't get into too much trouble you guys."

"Us? Trouble?" he laughed "What's the worst that could happen?" suddenly a single crash of thunder boomed. "Well that was kind of ominous... I'm sure we'll be fine. See you tomorrow!"

She waved goodbye and walked towards the Aphrodite cabin. Percy in turn made his way to Bunker 9. Tonight, was going to be awesome.

"Alright boys! What do you want to do tonight?" Nico raised his hand, "Yes Nico."

"I want to stay here and sleep."

"Not an option." Percy looked to the others, "Any other ideas?"

"What about snowboarding?!" Leo said excitedly.

"And where are we supposed to go snowboarding in the middle of July?" Jason asked sarcastically.

"Oh..." he thought about it for a second. "The Alps?"

Nico raised his hands, "Hold up. I am not shadow traveling your butts all the way to the Alps."

Leo pouted, "Fine. I guess bowling is good too."

Frank nodded, "Yeah bowling sounds fun."

"Perfect!" Percy clapped, "Bowling it is! Nico, you're up!"

He rolled his eyes, "I'm just a taxi service to you aren't I."

"No, you're our friend!" Percy said quickly, "You just happen to have a very useful skill..."

He sighed, "Why am I doing this again?"

"Because we bribed you with a 100-dollar McDonalds gift card." Jason answered.

"That could buy so many chicken McNuggets..." he said wistfully.

"Yes, it could." He waved the card in front of his face. "So, will you do it?" He begrudgingly took the card from him. "Perfect! Nico, it's time to get spooky!"

He stared at him confused, "What did you just say?"

"Oh, that could be his catch phrase!" Leo said excitedly. "Like Danny Phantom!"

"You're right!" Percy started grinning, "Any time Nico does ghostly stuff, he can be like 'Time to get spooky!' I love it."

Nico sighed, "I'm already regretting this. Everybody link arms."

"Woo!" Leo yelled. "Let the guys night out commence!" in an instant, they had disappeared from Bunker 9, and were off on their grand adventure.
