After walking down several shady looking back alleys, they arrived at a small traditional looking Italian restaurant.
"Ciao!" Nico greeted a large Italian man at the counter.
"Eh, Mr. di Angelo!" he patted him on the shoulder, "It's good to see you! Been a while! You staying out of trouble?"
He chuckled, "I'm trying. How 'bout you Alberto? How's Linda?"
"She is great!" he grinned, "She just got accepted to college! So, will there be five of you tonight?"
"That's awesome! Yes, five." He went off to set the table. The others looked at him with shock, "What? You thought all I ate was McDonald's?"
"Honestly, yes." Leo looked to the others and they all nodded, "Yeah I think we all thought that."
He rolled his eyes, "You're all idiots." They all went and sat down at the table.
~time skip~
After some debate, they all finally decided on which pizza's to get.
Leo absentmindedly chewed on his straw. "I wish it would get here already! I'm starving!"
Jason laughed while shaking his head, "I think you'll survive. Just think about something else, then maybe you won't be as hungry."
Leo closed his eyes and concentrated for a bit. "Ugh! That just made it worse!"
"What did you think of?" Frank asked.
"Tacos." He said sadly.
Jason face palmed, "I meant think of something other than food, dummy!"
"Oh..." Leo nodded, "Yeah that makes a lot more sense now..."
After a few more minutes, Alberto came back with their pizzas. Nico went to pay him but he shook his head. "Not today, on the house."
Nico smiled, "Grazie!"
"Okay, seriously how often do you come here?" Percy asked once Alberto had left.
Nico just shrugged, "When ever I feel like some good Italian food."
Leo started drooling, "Oh my gods this looks so good!"
They each grabbed a slice of pizza and took a bite. All of them started grinning. "I think I've died and gone to Elysium!"
They continued eating when suddenly the door opened. Nico looked up. "Oh..."
Jason looked over at him, "What's wrong?"
"Um, what day is it?" They all started to become concerned.
"Friday." Frank said with confusion.
"Oops..." they all watched as a group of men wearing fancy suits walked into the restaurant.
"What does 'oops' mean?" Percy asked.
Nico chuckled a bit, "I could have sworn it was Thursday. On Friday, Don Delpino and his friends eat dinner here."
"Who's Don Delpino?" Leo asked with a mouth full of pizza.
"That guy at the head of the table." They all looked over and saw a large Italian man with a mustache chatting with Alberto. "He's the leader of the local Italian mob."
"WHAT?!" They all yelled.
He rolled his eyes, "Calm down. He's actually a really nice guy as long as you don't get on his bad side. We don't have anything to worry about as long as no one sits in the seat two spots to his left." As soon as he said it, a younger man sat in the seat. "Ah man, not Vinnie. I kinda liked him."
"What's going on?" Percy asked on the verge of panic. "Who's Vinnie?"
"He's the one that just sat down." He replied. "If someone is told to sit in that seat, that means that they are going to be killed."
"WHAT?!" They all yelled again.
"It's really a shame." He continued, "Vinnie was kinda cool. He had potential to really move up in the family. He must have sold them out to the cops."
"How are you so calm about this?!" Jason whisper yelled.
He shrugged, "It happens all the time so I'm used to it. But, since you guys have never been here before they might not appreciate you seeing it all go down."
"What would they do to us?" Frank asked in fear.
Nico thought about it, "They probably wouldn't kill you since you're my friends, but they might cut off a couple fingers."
"That's it, we're leaving." They all followed Percy as he sprinted out of the restaurant.
