Hi everyone!
First off, I'd just like to thank you, amazing TMNT fan, for choosing to read my fanfic. :) I've been dreaming to write this fanfic since I was 16, and now that I just finished my first year in college, I finally decided to do it.
There are a few things you need to know before you start:
1. This is an alternate timeline story, which is an AU that is set in the same world and takes place with the same characters as the original but differs by telling the story of what would have happened if the events in the series had played out slightly different. Now, don't start getting offended with me like "How dare she try to mess with our precious turtle children!!". In this AU, the only thing that is different is that the turtles did not try to take out Shredder in season 1, episode 20 and kept their relationship with Karai. Also, April decided to give Donnie a chance in the middle of season one and they have been happily dating since. Besides that, nothing else is really different. :) This story takes place after they beat the Krang in the season 1 finale and before the start of season 2.
2. This fic assumes that you're pretty well acquainted with the TMNT universe and all of the characters in it up to the season one finale. If you haven't watched up to that point, I'd suggest putting this fic in your library (wink wink) before you read so you dont get any spoilers.
3. I have taken the liberty to insert links for the more unfamiliar Japanese words. When you see a highlighted word and you don't know what it is, click it and it'll take you to little web page containing pictures for your educational purposes. :P
4. I will be trying to post updates on this story every week, but, at the latest, it'll be every other week. I'll be starting college again soon and that might make updates hard to manage, but I promise to add chapters as consistently as possible.
5. I do not, in ANY WAY, own the characters that appear in this fic that are from the TMNT universe. I did, however, create a good amount of original characters for use in this story. There is also original fan art strewn around in the chapters. If you would like to use any of my OCs or post any of this story or my original fan art, please ask my permission first as they are under copyright.
