Chapter 5: Kevin
I had always possessed a passion for drawing. Ever since I was five, I would draw anything that looked pretty, and soon the hallways were filled with my child-like drawings. Back then, I drew for my parent's praise, but now, I was drawing to try keep my mind occupied.
The lights haven't flickered yet and it was unlikely that they would in a while.
I started in my journal. I figured that there were no need for too many words in a death note. I drew a dot in the middle of the double page and drew lines weaving through it. the lines turned into patterns, which then resembled floral patterns, as my pen neared the edge of the page. Entwined in some of these floral designs, were some fancy letters, which I chose carefully. I traced my path back to the middle of the page and started drawing a figure. The figure became more and more detailed as the pen point danced across the paper. Not once did I take my pen off the paper.
As my drawing was coming to a close, I swiftly traced the patterns to the bottom of the double pages and swiftly signed my name.
I took the pen off the paper. A lone tear fell from my eyes and onto the illustrated page.
I closed my book and cried until sleep eventually pulled me under its surface.

Author's note
This one was short because it's meant to be a filler chapter. This will later lead to something more interesting I promise.
