"mikey, come meet y/n!" dukes called from downstairs. i'm guessing, the others were all downstairs to since it was kinda quiet up here. mom said her friend is moving to san diego, might as well greet them.

i walked down to see a girl, her mom, and my family. "y/n, this is mikey." mom spoke to the girl. she looked up from messing with her fingers to face me.

"i'm mikey," i smile trying to be nice.

"i know, i heard her." she muttered with attitude.

"how about you go show her around the city, sweetie? be back around 12?" her mom and mine smiled at each other.

i shrugged and grabbed my keys. "you going or not?" i looked back at her as i slipped on slides. she nodded and got up.

she sat in the passenger and just went on her phone, as i drove off. y/n so far from what i can tell, she's definitely kept to herself and she's a little stubborn. the attitude is a little too much. however i'm mikey williams, she'll warm up to me in no time.

"so, where you from?" i stopped at a red light. if i'm gonna be around with her, i might as well get to know her.

y/n put her phone in her lap. "santa monica," she softly smiled and looked out the window. "mind if i roll it down?"

"go ahead," she rolled the window down and stared out of it. the breeze hit a little and her hair flew around. y/n closed it up. "you going to ysidro?"

"yuhp, must be fun. sophomore things," y/n made a peace sign making me laugh. the light changed colors and i looked away from her.

we continued to talk a little bit until we reached our destination. "where are we?"

"the cove," i smiled and walked out the car, waiting for her. she got out and walked beside me to the bridge. "aye, let's go over there."

we sat on the rocks near the ocean, talking about life. "i wanna do something with sports medicine. y'know, maybe become team manager basketball season."

"that's cool. we already have a manager, her names sativa. they're looking for another one though, i think y'all would work well." i smiled at her and she smiled back, then looked at the ocean.

i felt her eyes on me making me turn my head towards her. "thanks," her eyes glistened. "y'know for welcoming me here?" i nodded.

i can work with this.
