Jamie’s P.O.V
“Jamie, my lovely! Come here!” Hanji yells from across the room. I laugh a little bit and head over to her. “So how are you today?” she asks when I sit down.
“Sleep deprived,” I answer and start eating.
“Huh? Again? You know what sleep deprivation does to a person.”
“Hanji you’re probably sleep deprived from doing experiments on the two titans we captured all night.”
“Well I was, but that doesn’t mean I’m sleep deprived. It wasn’t all night any way, it was only about half the night.”
“Close enough. Either way you didn’t get enough sleep,” I say looking up from my empty plate, and glancing at the clock.
“You didn’t either. Was it the nightmares keeping you up again?” Hanji asks.
“Yeah, I wish they would stop,” I say standing up.
“They should stop soon, considering they’ve been going on for a few days,” Hanji says also standing up. “Now let’s go to Erwin’s office.”
“I see you all made it,” Erwin says after Hanji and I walk into his office.
“So why did you need to see us?” Hanji asks.
“We need to travel to Wall Sina to observe the hearing of Eren Jaeger, the boy able to turn into a titan,” Erwin explains. “The trial will determine who gets custody over him. Either the Scouting League, or the Military Police.”
“Commander Erwin, I understand the importance of this trial, but why do I have to go, since I don’t have a high military position like the rest of us,” I say.
“Yes, that’s another reason I wanted to see you Jamie. There’s a very likely chance of you being promoted to Captain,” Erwin explains to me. Me, a Captain? He’s got to be joking.
“You think she can handle the responsibility of being Captain?” Levi asks.
“Yes, and she will be trained to be Captain by you Levi. So she will attend the same meetings you do, and take on about half of your responsibilities,” Erwin says. “You are all dismissed. We’re leaving for Wall Sina tomorrow after breakfast.” With that we leave, after giving a respectful salute.
“I still don’t think you can handle being a Captain,” Levi says as we walk.
“Thanks for trusting my capability asswipe,” I say sarcastically.
“You’re hardly capable of using the right amount of medicine, I can only imagine how bad of a captain you’ll be.”
“What’s that supposed to mean?”
“You probably won’t discipline the soldiers properly.”
“You don’t think I can handle it because I won’t discipline them? You have no faith in me at all.”
“Even if I don’t have faith in you, it’s my job to train you to be a proper captain, so you’re going to need to stop by my office so I can assign tasks to you,” He says simply.
I give an overdramatic gasp before asking, “So I finally get to see your office?”
“Don’t make it sound like it’s a big deal fucktard, it’s just an office,” he says slightly annoyed.
“Alright, do you want me to not give a shit about practically anything then?” I ask sarcastically.
“Shut up. Now let’s get duties assigned to you so you can leave me alone,” he says stepping into his office.
“Oh, you know you love being around me,” I say following him inside. His office is immaculate. Everything was organized and there wasn’t dirt anywhere.
“Let’s find jobs you’d be suited for as a captain-in-training,” Levi says pulling out a piece of paper and a pen.
“So what’s the agenda for today?” Erd asks when me and Levi get back.
“The same stuff we always do,” I say falling into line.
“And how do you know?” Auroro asks.
“Captain Levi told me,” I say.
“Well now that you know the schedule, get to it. We don’t have time to waste,” Levi says, stopping the conversation between me and Auroro, and marking the beginning of drills for the day.
