The blonde struggles, trying to beg her friend into not forcing her to go to their mutual friend's birthday party. It's not like she didn't like Ryan, she loved him and she had even been excited to see Blake, but she didn't want to see him. It hadn't even been a full year and he had already been in another relationship. It's as if the last six and a half years hadn't meant anything to him. She wanted to be happy for Joe, the pair had still agreed to be friends. Taylor was now regretting that decision, but it was better to have him in her life than not have him at all, but she couldn't bare the thought of him loving another the way he had once loved her.

"Come on, T. He probably won't even show up. These are your friends by the way." Abigail says, starting to get frustrated with her friend. She hated the young man for her best friend.

Don't get either lady wrong, Joe was an amazing man, thoughtful, caring, endearing, loyal, anything you could dream for in a man. He and Taylor just didn't fit anymore. It was a fun time, but in the end, they just weren't meant for one another. And that's what killed Taylor the most. She hated how it was so easy for them to agree on just being friends. She hated how his scent had still lingered in the house, how she'd always find one of his shirts in the dryer or how his necessities were still in the master bathroom. The ghost of him had remained in the home that they had brought for them and their future. She was told by many that it was time to let it go, she had gotten multiple offers, but she couldn't bring herself to sell in hopes that he'd be back.

"And what if he? What if he's there and he brings her? How am I supposed to face them, smile in he face, and act as if everything is fine when it's not?" Taylor says, tears brimming her eyes.

Abigail had known that it would be a bad idea to tell Taylor that Joe had been invited, but she also knew that Taylor would be even more furious if she had shown up to the surprise of Joe and his new girlfriend. Eventually, Abigail had convinced Taylor to finished getting dressed and they made their way to The Reynolds' residence. Taylor had downed four glasses of wine before even leaving the house. She wanted this night to be over with. She hated how he had still remained friends with some of her friends. Why would he even agree to come to Ryan's celebration, knowing that she would be attending? The redhead had soon been swept away from Taylor by one of their many friends, leaving Taylor by herself in the kitchen. She didn't mind being in the kitchen alone, she knew that Blake and Ryan also wouldn't mind her going through their alcohol cabinet. She began rummaging through the various bottle, trying to find something that she had liked that wasn't wine. Wine wasn't the move tonight, lord knows that she thinks that she's some type of wizard when she's had more than two glasses of wine, but the previous four glasses had began to wear off. She had gave herself a small victory fist to the air when she had reached a bottle of Jameson.

"That has got to be Ryan's. Blake would never drink anything of the sorts." She heard coming from behind her. The voice had sent shivers down her spine. She knew it all too well.

"Yeah, Blake isn't really the whiskey type." Taylor says, head still lowered.

She continued to walk over to the glass cabinet, wanting him to leave. She had already had enough of him for the night, she didn't want to overreact. Why would he even approach her in the first place? Sure, they had agreed to be friends, but he showed up here with another woman, what did he expect? For them to see each other and act as f everything could be normal? Yeah, that was something that Taylor wasn't good at. She proceeded to pour fill her glass with the whiskey and act as if he hadn't been in the room.
