"deal" i say inserting coins as well. we decided to go out since josh promised to buy me ice cream. turns out he just wanted to rob me. although we have bee friends for so long and this is not the first time he had done this, its still not funny is. it kinda is because he shows that he's broke.

few seconds into the game, josh was already ahead of me,making me kiss my teeth and hear josh chuckles.

"you needa keep up" i hear somebody whisper to me, making me throw the ball at the person.
"what the hell-jalen whats up" josh says walking towards me, and dapping up the guy who unnecessarily whispered to me.
"she's aggressive" he says pointing to me, and we made eye contact.
"if you didnt whisper to me then maybe i would've been nicer" i say to him and his eyes fluttered, looking a bit taken back.

"okay y/n, this is jalen. jalen, y/n" josh says with a cheeky smile. he takes his hand out and i looked at it for a second, but still shake it. josh and jalen's friends went somewhere to play anything else, leaving me and jalen himself.

"hey sorry if you felt disrespected a while ago, i didnt mean for you to feel that way" he says and i turn off my phone.
"its cool, dont do it next time though cause shits weird. and hella uncomfortable" i say to him and he chuckles lightly. how contagious was that though.

"you wanna play?" he says pointing to the basketball area,
"you sure you wanna play with me?" i say with a smirk and he turns to me as we make our way to the machines.
"get ready to take this L"
"bet, but if i win youre gonna have to tell josh im taking you home" he says with playful smirk.
"how would i know if youre up to no good?"
"i have good and clean intentions only" he says putting his hands up.
"okay then"

after game
"how are you that fast?" i say turning to him while i stretch my arms making him chuckle,
"i dont know. im tough like that" he says winking making me roll my eyes.
"so home?"
"nah lets go eat first" i say to him as i pull out my phone to maybe text josh, only for me to saw 5 messages from him;

i didnt bother to reply since jalen was just talking too much. i didnt complain though, he was keeping me good company. we walked to his car and drove to burger king.

"you know there's a burger king at the mall right" i say to him chuckling after while he parks the car.
"i know, but i wanted to spend more time with you" he says with a smirk, as i shake my head smiling.

2:30pm
"this her" jalen says after he takes a bite of his burger and showing me a picture of his ex.

"miss peru? how old is she?" i ask him with furrowed brows,
"22" he says casually, and i just nod. damn 22? not that there's nothing wrong with being 22 but-
"what happened"
"nope, not giving away information" he says and i groan in annoyance.

"her loss" i simply say,
"you think?"
"yeah. but to be honest if i was miss superfergaliciousnatural or miss peru i wouldnt date someone like you" i say to him reassuringly, and he leans back.
"wow"
"no i mean i got the spotlight and the money so why bother you know? im independent like that" i say winking as i take a bite of mines, and he chuckles.
"but i wouldnt mind dating you though" i simply say to him, and he smriks.
"fr?"
"of course, you seem nice and smart. you look you determined with whatever you do, but if you approach girls the way you approached me? just get the fuck outta here" i say to him and he laughs.

"i said i was sorry" he says chuckling making me chuckle as well.
"sure" i say and finish eating my burger. i look up to see jalen's already finished with his. how the hell is he so fast.

"i guess im taking you home now" he says,
"yeah i just got 33 missed calls from josh" i say to him, and he tilts his head.
"are you and josh like dating?" he asks with furrowed brows.
"bitch no. and never. we've been friends since diapers." i say to him between chuckles,
"why do y'all live in one house?"
"why is it bothering you that much?" i say chuckling and he just went silent. okay then.

josh's
"thank you for today. and sorry for the way i acted a while ago i-" "nah its good i understand" he says cutting me off and i nod.
"will i see you again?" he asks catching my attention.
"i mean you can always pull up" i say. he knew where josh's house so i didnt need to give him directions.

"okay, see you tomorrow" he says with a smirk, and i chuckle.
"see you i guess--" i say to him and reach for the car door. i was about to get out when i got pulled back in and immediately felt jalen's lips on mine. i was shocked by his actions, but my lips soften as the kiss proceeds.

he pulls away and feel his eyes on me, he lift my chin making our eyes locked.
