"You murdered us."
That, that was quite blunt. Izuku was pretty appalled. It took a few moments to regain his composure, "Well, uh, sorry."
"You don't get it, you murdered us."
What doesn't he get? Izuku frowned, "I did, and I know now."
Eri inspected him, her small stature making Izuku's heart hurt because she didn't deserve to die so young. "Yeah, you. The you that doesn't exist anymore."
What? "What?"
"I know who you are."
~~~
"And the test has commenced!" Izuku watched as his friends raced to paint the teachers with paintballs. They each had a paint gun, a knife that was drenched in paint, and paint grenades. It was different from Nedzu's original plan, but Izuku didn't mind.
"Any of their strategies catch your eye yet, Nedzu?" Izuku asked, staring intently at the screen.
"The blonde-haired kid," Nedzu grinned, "Kaminari Denki, I believe."
All For One nodded, "I see why. He stayed behind, choosing to analyze the situation first."
It was only now that Izuku noticed that, "That was a really good decision."
"He's also putting paint on the ground," Nedzu sipped his tea then laughed, delighted, "He's making the teachers step in his paint. All we said was that—"
Everything snapped into place, "That you had to put the paint on the teachers... There was never a specific way."
Nedzu nodded, "Indeed. It looks like we have a thinker in the hero course."
All For One hummed, content, "It sure does."
~~~
"I'm sure you would've made a great hero, Midoriya," Shimura Nana had said to him that day. Izuku was pretty happy that day, thanks to that comment. He didn't think he'd be running into the woman again, but it turns out he was wrong.
"Oh, hi, Shimura-san!" Izuku greeted.
"Hello, Midoriya," Shimura replied, "Today's weather sure is amazing, isn't it?"
"Yeah!" Izuku agreed. The weather was stunning today. Clear skies, a sunny sun, and no random villain attacks. It seemed like a perfect day. "What are you doing on this fine day?"
"Well, I was going to visit my grandson."
Izuku asked, "You have a grandson?"
"Yes, I believe he's a year or two older than you," Shimura said, "I think it'd be nice for you to meet him. He's always wanted to be a hero, like you."
Izuku hummed, "Maybe it'd be nice. So, can I meet him?"
Shimura nodded, "Why don't we visit together?"
Izuku sputtered, "A-ah, is that really okay? I, I wasn't invited —"
Shimura smiled tightly, "I'm sure they'll love that Tenko has a new friend."
Izuku merely nodded, "Okay, then!"
And that's how he got in this situation, of meeting Shimura Tenko, aka, Shigaraki Tomura. Izuku didn't know what to expect. Shigaraki Tomura was the successor of All For One, however, now that All For One is good, Tomura isn't a villain.
Or Izuku hopes he isn't, anyway.
"Hi, I'm Midoriya Izuku," Izuku said, "And you are?"
Tenko fiddled with his hands, a nervous habit, "Shimura Tenko."
