"I got a plan in the middle of the night, don't you mind."
The sound of some little cat woke me up at 3am. Sometimes Sasha was like a clock but she usually never "call" me at that weird time.
My head was really annoyed with the hard exercise of get up from the warm bed and have to face the cold out of it.
"Sasha?" I called, dragging my slippers downstairs.
On that moment I was about to fall asleep on the middle of the stairs that actually seemed a big endless land. I almost felt dizzy after the fright.
The kitten's meowing became more intense when I got to the door that lead to the garage.
And there she was. The little cat was trying to open the door with her claws, scratching the door to get out.
"What do you want, darling?" I took her on my lap but in one second she jumped off and starting with the same exercise she was doing before.
I rolled my eyes and opened the door, my patient was running out.
Sasha ran outside and sat in front of the door that was now Zayn's bedroom.
And then started meowing again a bit lower than before.
"Shh!!" I said in a lower tone because I didn't want woke Zayn up.
She started scratching the door untill it opened. That animal has serious problems.
But when I was about to close it again I saw Zayn.
He was sitting on an old trunk close to the window. His legs were surrounded by his thin and full of tattoos arms while his eyes were focused on the outside.
"Zayn, is everything alright?" I asked.
He looked at me and made a soft smile when Sasha jumped onto his lap purring.
"Yes." He answered with his voice low. " I just miss home..."
I actually didn't know what say because I didn't know he had a home for real. I sat on his bed and took a deep breath that was not really a good time for deep conversations.
"Why you just don't come back?"
"I have to stay. 4 months. That's what he said." Zayn returned his eyes to the sky outside.
I rubbed my eyes trying hard to not ignore him and go sleep which was the correct thing to do.
"Alison." He called.
"Yes?"
"Do you like me?"
Zayn's question caught me by surprise because it was so odd. I didn't have a real answer to it because I didn't know him.
"I guess, why should I hate you?".
He smiled and got up with the kitten on his arms, sitting next to me on the bed. Sasha sat on the floor and started closing her eyes.
"Thank you." He said. "And you should think about what I told you about me. I don't lie you know.
I nodded and got out of the room without leaving the odd question.
