To Sara's surprise,it was not David whom she expected. But the boy was somewhat similar to David. They both seem to have something in common although she couldn't yet figure it out.Anyways, fortunately or unfortunately, there was no sign of David. But she knew clearly that it's not yet time to relax because if what Martha said is right, there's still one more boy to join today. At least, she can rest assured for now-she thought to herself.
Interestingly, the newbie was Daniel and that would mean the two rival angels from the Angel World would be around Sara from now on.As for now,the purpose of Daniel for taking admission in the same school as Sara is not yet clear. We'll have to see to it reading through the story.Daniel spoke up to the class, "Hey guys!I'm Daniel.I'd like to get along well with you guys later on."
The teacher interrupted when he reached a dead end,"That's enough! You go take your seat...uh,over there",pointing to the empty seat in the last row.
Once the teacher turned to the blackboard,Martha leaned over her table to whisper in Sara's ears,"Are you disappointed that it's not him?I saw that your eyes were wandering in search of him until just now."
Sara got irritated and turned behind to reply to Martha,"Martha, you've been getting on my nerves lately.Stop being this nosy. It's unbearable when you act like this!"
Sara was definitely pissed off at Martha's judgmental question. But the more pissed one was the teacher who then noticed Sara talking in between the class and disturbing the silence that prevailed.Unfortunate enough, the teacher called out Sara's name and told her"You girls, you better stop eating each other's ears. Now!"Sara stood up in alarm. But Martha was still resting in her seat that Sara had to pull her up by force. The teacher then told,"Sara, come here and recite the poem for the whole class, right from where I stopped."
Sara gave Martha a vicious glare before she took the book in her hands and started reciting the poem.Thankfully,Sara was right about where the teacher stopped. There she stood in front of the whole class, reciting the lines of the poem,
"You're my angel,
who've come from so afar."
All of a sudden,Sara stopped reciting.The teacher asked,"Sara,why did you stop?Continue.."
But Sara couldn't .Because her eyes got stuck upon someone she saw coming from afar. She could tell that it was David even from that distance, even when she could see only his shadow through the translucent window-glasses .According to her, no one else she has ever known do have an aura similar to his.Even if it was just a single time that they met before, she could identify him even with closed eyes.Well, that's too much exaggeration,I guess.
The teacher saw David coming. She welcomed him in and said,"Oh right! The principal told me that there would be one more student joining my class. But you're late on your first day.I thought you weren't coming at all since you are so late."
"Sorry ma'am"-David told, bowing to the teacher in apology.
The teacher replied,"That's okay...Well,Sara,you may go back to your seat now."
Sara looked at him as she went back to her seat.It was David. It's definitely him.He raised his eyebrows, giving her a glare,as if he's asking her,"Have you been well?" and gave her a smile in his most appealing way.
The teacher resumed,"So David, right? You may sit beside Sara."
"Thank you ,ma'am."
David was completely happy as if he got exactly what he wished for. It's a win-win situation for him. Finally,he's on his mission. He's got a way to get close to Sara and hence solve the mystery involving him and her.
"David? So that's really his name.No wonder he got that name imprinted on his hanky .But why on earth should he sit beside me of all people?Whatever!Pull yourself together,Sara."-She said to herself as she moved aside to make space for David. They both greeted each other with a mischievous grin and then sat side by side, their faces turned to the opposite direction from the other as if they are clearly avoiding each other. But what fate has got up its sleeves is definitely unpredictable.Let's see how their lives get entangled .Also the great angel-human love story begins from here, where the two from two different worlds unite together as they embark on a new path in their journey of life.
The lunch recess bell rang. The teacher left the classroom.Sara now almost got over the awkward feeling. After all, she's as fierce as a tigress.Sara stood from her seat and went to David. She placed her both clasped fists on his table and said,"Let's talk.Meet me in the stadium.",as if she was giving him a warning like a hoodlum.
David wondered why.Not only David but Martha and Daniel too.Daniel didn't know about their meeting before nor did Martha knew that David was the savior that Sara mentioned the other day.
Sara was waiting for David in the ground, all alone.David hurried to her to see what she has got to argue with him over this time. Also,he didn't forget to bring his cheesy smile along. One David came,Sara held his hands and dragged him to somewhere. It was Sara's secret hideout, the place where she spent some 'alone-time' whenever she felt down, the place in her school that belonged to only her, just her.She has never let anyone in,not even Martha. Now David is the first one to be taken there.
Once they reached their destination,Sara let go of his hands in a nasty way and looked around to see if anyone was there.David asked,"You're here to apologize to me,right?I know, but you want to thank me as well. You really don't know what to do now, right? No one else can be this indebted to a person. It's okay.Don't fret over it.I forgive you."
Sara didn't like it at all.In fact, every word that David just told was right. But she firmly believed that there is a huge difference between what we give by our will and what is forcefully taken from us without our will and knowledge.Sara actually wanted to apologize to him and thank him personally herself. But David told that to her himself before she could make a move.It felt exactly like how a thief get caught off-guard,red-handed.She didn't want to give him that obvious,an apology. Now that David has foreseen everything himself and forgiven her,she felt there is no point of her even apologizing to him shamefully and embarrassingly again. She felt like she lost to him to quite an extent. But her egoistic human nature didn't let her accept it.And so she didn't want to lose her face before him.Sara, therefore, came up with a quick-witted excuse for having him called out.We humans are like that.We want to do everything by ourselves. We never want others to meddle in.But remember,we always could use a little help. We're mere social beings after all, whose lives are interdependent and interrelated!

Stay tuned to see what lame excuse that Sara came up with to let her ego win over David ,in the next chapter. Also thank you for all those who've read and voted for my work until here.<3<3<3<3
