Everyone left the ground as soon as the P.E teacher blew his whistle , hurrying to the locker rooms to change their sweatsuits. Seeing that everyone left, Daniel came to David and asked, "Why did you let me win? You think, I wouldn't notice? You clearly could have scored the match point. Why did you do that? "
David, with his arms crossed casually over his manly chest, replied, "I can afford losing before such a crowd. But I know that my brother can't. I mean you've never lost to anyone back in the heavens , never been second to anyone in anything. You probably would have broken down , had I not let you win. Well, why am I saying this all to you? This is not going to make any difference , right? "
He left nonchalantly after saying that leaving Daniel behind. Daniel looked pleased for the first time ever . He didn't have that villainy in his eyes that he always had.
David was about to enter the boys' locker room just as when Sara came with a towel and a bottle of mineral water. "You must be thirsty. Drink some. Also, save some for later, okay? You might need it sooner or later. "
"You're here. Are you alright now? " David asked as he took the bottle and drank some water. Sara wiped off his sweat from the face as he kept drinking from the bottle. Sara avoided eye contact while she went on wiping his sweat for him. David felt awkward and the bottle fell down from his forgotten hands. Complete chaos.
"I can do it myself. I'm good." He said as he grabbed the towel from Sara. He gave no eye contact again and engaged himself with wiping his sweat. Sara heaved a deep sigh and pushed him against the wall.
"So what are you? An evil magician or a heavenly angel? Or is it something else that normal people like me haven't yet heard ever? I know that you'll try to make up some false stories. But not again. Not this time. I'm tired listening to your lies all this time. I want to know the truth. Because I ..just because! "
Sara became weak as she completed her dialog and desperate tears rolled down her scarlet cheeks . She tried to not give in but couldn't control her emotions towards the end. She wanted to say that she like him but she refrained herself. She wanted to know the truth. That one truth that has been haunting or hindering their relationship all this while.
