There was really something new in me.
I've been hearing sounds coming from other rooms closer to me. Hindi 'yon maari dahil sa kapal ng bawat pader, sariling ingay mo lang ang maririnig mo mula sa loob. But I could hear Tres faint humming.
"Tres," I muttered.
"Yes?"
Napabalikwas ako nang bangon nang marinig 'yon. She responded!
"Did you hear me?" I asked. Normal na lakas na boses lang ang gamit ko.
"Funny but yes. I've been hearing strange noises since last night," she replied. Ang sunod kong narinig ay ang nagmamadaling yabag niya patungo sa akin.
The door swung open and it revealed to me Tres' suprised visage. Madali siyang umupo sa tabi ko.
The room has a pass lock where you need to input your finger prints in the door's handle but this woman insisted to Doctor brew to install hers on mine. Hindi ko alam kung paano niya napapayag ang doktor.
"The session?" she asked. I nodded. Pinagmasdan ko siya at nakagayak na. Her hair was even wet.
"Wait her, I'll be fast," bilin ko. I bolted out of the bed and made it inside the bathroom.
"Wow, you really are the fastest among us," she exclaimed. I guess I could accept that, but Dos was deemed the smartest and Siyete the strongest. She labeled them those and she. . . well, she said she's the cutest.
I cleaned myself in a flash and went back to Tres. Nakahiga siya sa kama at hindi ko na siya tinawag pa. I went out and when I looked back, she was already at my back, currently closing the door.
Himala at hindi ito tumunog ng napakalakas. Nakasalubong pa namin si Dos na tumango lang noong makita kami.
"How about a race?" she challenged.
"You can't get enough?" Sa pagkakatanda ko lagi namin itong ginagawa at kahit kailan, hindi pa siya nanalo sa akin.
"Try and try until you die?" She chuckled. "In one, two, three!" She sprinted forward leaving me behind. Bahagya akong napatawa saka sinimulang tumakbo.
Nasa hagdan na siya banda. I accelerated, poked her gently sideways and outrun her.
Nakita ko pa ang paglaki ng mata niya pero agad ding nakabawi at hinila ang kamay ko.
I stedied my feet firmly and battled with her own strength. Baka matumba ako paghindi nakaapak anng maayos ang paa ko.
She pushed me lightly but I've taken hold of her arms. I swayed her back at the corridor and she flew next to Diyes room.
I saluted and take my leave. Nauna akong nakaabot sa pintuan ni Doctor Brew at hinintay ang pagdating ni Tres. Maya-maya ay nakita ko siyang nakabusangot na naglalakad patungo sa'kin. Hinihilot nito ang mga balikat.
"I almost win!" she wined. Pinaningkitan ko siya ng mata at napahalakhak siya.
"So competitive!" Binuksan na niya ang pinto at bumati kay Dr. Brew. Hindi pa nga nakahuma ang huli ay nasa harapan na niya si Tres.
"Doc! You can't believe what happened yesterday. Did you hear of the news? Uno just lost her patience over Onse. That was exhilarating."
Ang akala ko ay magtatanong siya tungkol sa nangyayari sa katawan namin pero hindi pala. She was more eager to tell about the incident.
"Ah, yes. I heard the rumors." She looked at me and smiled. Napasok ko ang dalawang kamay sa suot na pants at hinintay ang sasabihin niya. I was expecting a lecture though.
