Hey friends!

I figured, after giving this story a few days to rest and live for itself, you might want an explanation of the chaos that ensued that night.

As I said in the description: It's a tale based on real events. Real, real terrifying events, at that.

I was chatting with our beloved @m_aviana92 and @LizzyPeltonWrites that night, coming home after visiting some friends. It was also the first time being alone in the apartment since my partner visited his parents over the weekend, and so the whole atmosphere was a bit eerie to begin with.

Well, and then, as I was getting ready for bed, chaos ensued. I made the mistake of leaving the bathroom window open while I was gone, giving the whole room free reign for any type of insect that felt like disturbing my night. It started with seeing this huge ass moth (our dear Bobby in this story), which immediately flew straight into my face, and after that it was utter mayhem. Tapping away furiously on my phone to let my friends guide me through this mess, while at the same time hoping that moth won't kill me. Only when I focused on finding a solution to this problem, did I realize there was another moth in the room (Luna in this case) and also a big ass spider (Charlotte - kudos to those who got that easter egg hah).

So, it took about half an hour and a lot emotional support to get rid of those three (I'm usually absolutely against killing any sort of animal if I don't need to, but I couldn't find another way without hurting them regardless and leaving them to fend for themselves with half a wing). And I'm not going to lie - I screamed like a little girl. Imagine a grown ass (and a tad drunk) woman furiously trying to fight the urge to just close the door and let them take over my bathroom. I would've loved to be a fly on the wall for that one.

But somehow I managed to survive, and after I did the job I felt so cruel, a merciless killer, flushing those poor insects down the toilet, just because they were living their life.

But, my friends being the good people they are, used my emotions to turn it into "art" (if you can call it that), and we ended up spinning around ideas for this story until I couldn't not do it anymore, and so here I am. My first short story, which might have been obvious, but a really, really fun ride. I hope you weren't too confused when you read this thing, I know it's a bit all over the place, but hey. That's what it was like in real life, as well.

I hope you enjoyed it in the end, and maybe it gave you a glimpse of who I am behind this curtain of a pen name. I'm a human being, a living and breathing person with opinions and emotions, which I try to convey in my stories as good as I can. Including humor, with this one. ;)

Lots of love to all of you, and I wish you a happy, moth-free-life.

Jane.
