SAM LOOKED UP AS MADDISON JERKED AWAKE. She had been out for close to sixteen hours, completely comatose. Not even Dean's singing had roused her in the slightest. But her red hair was knotted, and she looked like she hadn't slept at all. Pressing her face back into the pillow, she breathed out a low sigh.
She looked back toward Sam, offering him a tired smile before pushing herself up. There was the faint telling of a headache, but she tried to push it away. Reaching over the side of the bed, she grabbed up her bag and searched for her hair brush.
"No, Dad was in California last we heard from him," Sam said, adjusting his phone quickly. He moved his eyes away from Maddison, focusing down at the table. "We just thought... he comes to you for 'munitions... maybe you've seen him in the last few weeks."
"Who're you talking to?" she whispered, crossing the room and sitting across from him.
"Just, call us if you hear anything." He hung up the phone, letting a disappointed sigh slip out. "A hunter named Caleb."
"He hasn't heard from him?" Dean asked, pulling on his jacket.
"Nope. And neither has Jefferson or Pastor Jim."
"What about his journal? He leave anything we can use?" Maddison questioned, tapping her nails against the table.
"No, same as last time I looked," Dean sighed, pushing a hand through his hair. "Nothing I can make out. Look, I love the guy, but he writes like Yoda."
"None of his numbers going through?"
"Still voicemail, Maddi."
She puffed out her cheeks, sliding down in her seat. "You know, maybe we should try the Feds," she offered up, realizing no one else was going to say anything.
"Yeah, file a missing person's report," Sam added.
Dean rolled his eyes, shaking his head. "We've talked about this, Dad'd be pissed if we put the Feds on his tail."
"I don't care anymore."
"I honestly want to punch him," Maddison whispered, moving to cradle her head in her hands. The headache was starting to win. "Can I do that?"
Before anyone answered, a cellphone started ringing. The brothers glanced toward the redhead, sighing when she lifted her hands up. It obviously wasn't her phone, it was still in the backseat of the impala. She didn't want to hear it going off for three hours while Bobby freakd out.
