Kayleigh is just a country girl from Kentucky wanting to make a change in the black community . She feels like she won't meet her whole potential in this little town , so she gets into contact with her a school in Atlanta and comes up with a plan to help her future career in helping minorities pass and give them a safe place . Her plan is to start a district wide organization getting Atlantas top students to help those who are failing . But little does Kayleigh know her attention may be placed onto other things..
Roderick is a 17 year old who has a lot on his plate . He has a drug addicted mom and an incarnated dad , with all of this it leaves nobody to look after his 2 younger siblings . He provides for himself and his siblings the only way he knows how to , With all this other stress school is the least of his worries . He wants to become a rapper but all his money goes towards providing his siblings with a better life than what he had . Little does Roderick know his whole world is going to turn upside down when he meets Kayleigh .
