"How are you so sure that you can stop the apocalypse? I mean you said so yourself, you guys failed once, how are you so sure you won't fail again?"

"Well..." Cara trailed off, picking the cherry off the top or her milkshake, her eyes set on the red fruit. "That's because I died once and I sure as hell am not dying again." Cara raises her eyebrows at the two in front of her before popping the cherry into her mouth.

"Besides.." Cara continued after swallowing the fruit. "I'm alive now and I have some cool new powers." She sends them a wink. "Oh, And everyone among us are complete narcissistic assholes who'd do everything rather than admit that we failed in saving the world. Grace raised us well. We may be assholes but we sure as hell are not quitters..." Cara trailed off, a small chuckle falling past her lips.

"Kind of"

Silence envelopes the three as Cara continues to drink her milkshake. The sounds of couples chatting, children laughing and the jukebox playing fills their ears. The two send a glance at each other before directing their gaze back at the woman in front of them.

"You are seriously the strangest person i've ever met" they both say in unison.

"That's an understatement" a chuckle leaves Cara's mouth. "I'm the worst"

DYSPHORIA

A/N: I am so excited to write the sequel sjajdjsndn I wanna delve deeper into Cara's character rather than play things safe and stay within the confines of the whole tv show like how I did with this book. Obv, I'm still going to go through with how S2 goes but I wanna develop her character more.

I will be adding two new original characters to the next book, one of which is already in one of the teaser posters I posted in the previous chapter. The other one will be revealed when I publish the cast for the sequel.

BOOK TWO IS NOW COMPLETE 😌✌🏼✌🏼 I really hope you guys liked this book and will like the next one since it took me countless of sleepless nights to finish them.
