war looks at his reflection.

he only stares into the mirror for one reason: his wings. his eyes trace the outline of his wings or what were left of it. he stretches it experimentally, flinching as it pulls— his wings look broken, almost half of it are deteriorating. there are now too thin, too fragile, too dull. the magic isnt there anymore. its dying and if this continues, he will too.

few humans know about their kind and their existence. yin is one of those who doesnt know about fairies. he hasnt seen war's wings, doesnt know fairies' law. that in their world, truth is law and lies hurt them.

every lie that comes out of yin's mouth seeps into his wings like poison, destroying it little by little. it was painful, his wings felt like burning everytime it happens but paled in comparison with his heart breaking.

"ive been looking for you.." yin says moving closer behind war.

"if i disappear.. will you find me?" he asks yin, looking at younger's face in the mirror.

"what are you saying?" yin gazes at him intently.

war is satisfied with the look of confusion and panic in yin's face. he looks straightly at yin's eyes, he could still see a bit of innocence that had him drawn to yin in the first place. he used to trust him fully but the word trust feels strange now, like it doesnt fit.

"you're scaring me. i'll find y..."

war immediately faces yin and kisses him, not letting the other finish his sentence. fear welled up his chest, he cant let yin lie again. he is scared to know it those words are lies again, if it'll hurt them again.

yin breaks the kiss and whispers to his mouth, "dont leave me.."

the burn didnt come instead a different warmth runs to war's body. his heart stubbornly beats against his chest, drowning out his worry. he nods and presses their lips again.

war isnt certain if yin's warmth will eventually heal his wings. he was way too deep that he cant simply walk away now.

it might sound stupid but war doesnt regret falling inlove with a human.
