That afternoon, Bai Zhen Zhen took her father out of the hospital.
Huo Xiang immediately went to the doctor in charge of him to discuss his discharge after Bai Zhen Zhen and her party had left. His brain condition, which up until now had been impossible to diagnose, suddenly became so good that even his doctor in charge said it was unimaginable.
The next morning, just when Yang Suping was about to grab breakfast, she heard a knock on the door.
"So early, who would ah..." Yang Suping muttered.
Bai Zhen Zhen guessed it should be Huo Xiang. She had made an appointment with him, asking him to come look for her in the morning, and then they would go to the birthday party together in the afternoon.
When the door was opened, it sure was as expected.
"Why did you come so early?!" As Bai Zhen Zhen finished speaking, her gaze went down from Huo Xiang's face seizing him up. She stared blankly.
Father Bai was sitting beside the tea table in the living room, stirring his bowl of noodles, and asked: "Zhen Zhen, who is it ah?"
Bai Zhen Zhen gulped: "It's Huo... Huo Xiang."
"It's Xiao Huo ah! Quickly, let him in ah!" Father Bai was obviously very happy.
Bai Zhen Zhen was still staring at Huo Xiang in a daze at the door.
Today, Huo Xiang had taken off his patient robe and was instead wearing a dark-green shirt, coupled with perfectly-smooth ironed trousers, and a pair of polished black leather shoes.
It is said that clothes make the man, and with such a change from head to toe, he really looked like the young son of a wealthy household.
"How did you get the money to buy this suit?" Bai Zhen Zhen asked with suspicion. This shirt had a carefully chosen pattern and texture. It could be seen at a glance that Huo Xiang's attire was considerably expensive.
"I rented it, 200 a day." Huo Xiang picked up a bag from the cloth-rental store and raised it in front of Bai Zhen Zhen. "I also rented a set for you."
Bai Zhen Zhen: "......"
Thinking about it, no wonder she received a call last night asking her about her size.
Bai Zhen Zhen looked at the big bag hanging from Huo Xiang's left hand. It looked like he also bought a lot of fruit and nutritious food.
As soon as he entered the door, Huo Xiang put these things on the table and cheerfully said to Father Bai: "Uncle Bai, Aunt Yang, I didn't know what to bring when visiting you for the first time, so I just bought some fruit and supplements, I hope you won't dislike it ah!"
Father Bai was extremely happy, and repeatedly sighed with emotion: "Come here, what things did you bring..."
Even Yang Suping, who never had a good expression on her face, smiled at Huo Xiang when she saw he had brought so many things and became more welcoming.
Bai Zhen Zhen poured Huo Xiang a cup of tea. When she handed it to him, she asked in a low voice, "apart from renting the clothes, did you spend the rest of the money to please my dad?!"
Huo Xiang also replied in a whisper: "This is called using a long line to catch a big fish. If I can have a good relationship with your dad, then I can borrow money from you in the future."
Bai Zhen Zhen: "......in your dreams!"
"Oh, Uncle Bai, it turns out you were eating!" Huo Xiang suddenly raised his voice and pretended to have just seen the bowl of noodles on the table.
Father Bai immediately changed his expression and replied: "That's right ah! Xiao Huo, you arrived just in time, have you eaten yet? Let's eat together!"
"I won't be polite then ah!" Huo Xiang was all smiles.
"Don't be! When you come to Uncle Bai's place, just treat it like your own house!" Father Bai passed Bai Zhen Zhen's bowl of noodles to Huo Xiang.
Bai Zhen Zhen: "Dad, that's mine..."
Before Bai Zhen Zhen finished speaking, Huo Xiang had already used the chopsticks to bring some noodles into his mouth. He looked at Bai Zhen Zhen innocently as he chewed.
"Su Ping ah, can you help Zhen Zhen get another bowl?" Father Bai said to Yang Suping.
After all, Yang Suping was a person who was given "wages" by Bai Zhen Zhen at the moment, so even though she was a bit unwilling, she still did as Father Bai said.
