KEEPING UP

I went for the cheerleading tryout, I really wanted to become a cheerleader because I like it.

I was already a week old at Flour Hill high school.

Scott is the quarterback and captain of the team, more reason I want to become the cheerleader of the team. Madhur is a cheerleader, really disappointing if you ask me.

Today is the first tryout and it's very tasking.

I and Aimee are trying out while Fiona went for swimming practice.

After the tryout, I saw Scott talking to another guy across the field and I went to meet them

"Hi" I said

"Hi" Scott said nonchalantly without even looking at me

"I'm sorry but having a girlfriend doesn't mean you have to be rude to other girls " I found myself saying oopsie

"I was not asking for your opinion, by the way, why have you been trying to get my attention? It's not going to work, not that we can't be friends but now I have better things to do, common Steven let's go " he said and left me shocked in the middle of the field.

I was walking in the hallway thinking about what happened on the field when I bumped into Madhur and my books fell, I'm so not going to hear the end of this

"Are you blind?" She said seething

"Hi" I said trying to be cheerful

"You've got to be kidding me " She said angrily

"I'm so sorry " I said, okay she's freaking me out! Fred, who is supposed to be in class came from nowhere, packed my books that were still on the floor, gave Madhur a dirty look and practically dragged me out of her presence.

"Oh I see, you are already into her,it won't work for you, well not for long " Madhur said.

Fred took me to the cafeteria, I was obviously too late for class, and asked me what really happened and I told him

"She has always been a bully, I'm not surprised " Fred said

"Yeah, I figured that out, thanks for coming to my rescue though " I said

"It's nothing " he said smiling

I moved close to give him a kiss on the cheek

"What are these babies trying to do? Kiss? Awwww " a voice said from behind and I turned to know who it was it was Madhur and her friend, I kinda knew

"Babies trying to do what adults do " Mellisa said

"We are not babies, mind your business or I'll make you mind it" I said angrily and moved close to Madhur but she moved back and looked at Melissa who pulled a rope and in a second I was soaked in chocolate pudding, I was so devastated, Madhur and Melissa were busy laughing while Fred was doing nothing.

I ran out of the cafeteria towards the bathroom, I was in the hallway when the bell rang, everyone came out of their classes and saw me, they started laughing, I couldn't move, the tears I was holding back came pouring uncontrollably.
