New Beginnings....

🛫 Mahi's arrival. 🛬

The following day, both pretend as if the "incident" the previous night did not happen at all... They're normal with each other and clean the house together while listening to koothu songs on Spotify... Mullai helps Kathir in making the chart for Mahi with lots and lots of glitter...

She teases him by saying that his drawing of a unicorn looks more like a cow with a single horn and he laughs and agrees...

After a tiring day, that evening she makes pop corn and the whole house smells of buttery goodness...

M: Netflix leh Dark pakkalamah?

K: Title eh bayangarama irruku... Hotel keh bayanthavae nee... Dark verae pakkae poriyah?

M: Cha cha... Ithu horror kadaiyathu...SciFi series.... India leh trending ah irruku...

K: Aicho Mullai...ivungae verae etho bashaiyilae pesurangae... Ennalae ukkanthu paaka mudiyathu...

M: Kilae subtitle varuthu leh...

He grumbles something...

Five minutes into the show, there's a couple getting intimate on screen.

Mullai turns beet red in mortification... She wishes that this sofa would swallow her whole...

M: Remote engae?... She asks in a screechy voice, Kathir is of no help at all... He is shaking with laughter...

K: Ippo therithu...yehn trending ah irruku nu...

She grabs the remote and forwards the scene.

M: Nallae kallom Amma munnadi ithae podalae... Kathir laughs harder imagining the look on his Athai's face if this scene had played in front of her...

And the show is so gripping that even though they're tired, they don't want to stop watching...

Finally 3 hours and 3 episodes later, both go to their respective rooms and lie on the bed, unable to sleep...

Kathir thinks back to the day she jokingly said that they both should marry each other and he had been so relieved that she was joking...

He curses.... What won't he give for her to say it again? And this time, the second she says it.. He would be hugging her and saying... Va ippovae kalyanam pannikalam...

Mullai on the other hand is cursing him for a totally different reason...

Why did he have to be so freaking good looking?

Why oh why was she noticing it just now?

All this was her fault...

Here she was... An adult and she had been afraid to stay alone in her house at nights...

Living in close quarters with him, spending so much time with him had somehow rewired her brain...

She simply refuses to even think that it could be anything else, other than a strong ardour for him...

Mullai just hopes that it would fade away...

That is her last thought before she drifts off to sleep...

The next evening, Kathir and Mullai leave to the airport in an Uber...

They wait at the international arrivals gate.

And Kathir cranes his neck to look above the crowd to see if he can spot Mahi...

And then a while later....

There's a loud voice that yells..

KATHIR UNCLE....KATHIR UNCLE...

Many heads turn at that voice...
