Everyone looked towards Xavier's and Coraline's direction, looking a bit unimpressed. Cora could understand though. They had just been reunited with their old hero, and compared to that nothing would seem even relativity interesting.
But when she talked to Luke about it, they both agreed to tell them their original identities that day itself, but Eidos had beaten them to it. But they had the gods and demigods attention now though. She seemed confident thinking it, but now...she wasn't so sure. if Eidos could do it, so could they.
"We would like to share our identities as well." She said, gather every ounce of her courage, and looked over at Luke. She had never really needed his support more than she needed it now. Luke too was looking at her. In a silent, swift motion he reached for her hand and gave it a small squeeze. As soon as his fingers left hers, they reached for their gold-silver hoods, and removed them.
This time it took them a moment to actually comprehend the faces shown to them. Immediately, Atremis flashed in front of her ex-lieutenant and squeezed her in a bear her. The same was happening to Luke as well, but it was Hermes who was hugging the daylights out of his son. Both were hugging them with a equal amount of vigor as they hugged for a few minutes.
All the while the other campers were beaming with happiness, trying to touch the trio in some kind of way, may it be a brush of fingers or a slight pat on the shoulder, everyone wanted proof that they really were there, not an illusion.
One thing Cora noticed was that Poseidon was still staring at his son in a dazed expression and was clenching and opening his gnarly hands. He was looking as old as ever as he stood, watching his son get pilled on by the younger campers who idolized him.
The atmosphere was happy but their were tears in the old man's eyes. He felt awful, awful for what had happened and always wished to just see his son and beg for his forgiveness but now that Percy was in front of him, he was stuck in the same place, crying silent tears.
Finally after detaching himself from the demigods, he made his way toward the sea-god. Poseidon did not know what to expect as Percy walked up to him, moving slowly as he was intercepted by gods and demigods alike, who were apologizing and thanking him for saving them from utter destruction.
He also saw Coraline, actually Zoe getting hugged by the older hunters and Xavier, who was Luke get punched and hugged by many of the immortal campers, but his main focus was on the person walking up to him. He never felt that he could feel this anxious as a god,but he did.
Finally what seemed like an eternity, Percy stood in front of his father, rather towering over him as sea-green met a familiar, yet foreign pair.
"Father." he said, in a neutral tone, revealing nothing. "S-son." he answered looking down.
Almost immediately he was pulled into a strong embrace. Then the whisper he heard in his ears made him completely loose control. "I forgive you." His son said, in a very soft tone and hugged him tighter.
The distraught father lost himself then as he sobbed into his son's chest, unconsciously growing younger into his forties age. He felt so horrible yet so happy. He was a jumble of emotions, and only could express himself as he cried. He wanted to tell his son how he felt; wanted to share his heart-wrenching pain with him, but he had a feeling Percy understood.
After a while, his shaking shoulders were in control he moved away from Eidos, and let him go, since many were trying to catch his attention. He too then left, flashing away to his underwater palace where he sat with his wife, simply thinking as the chaos commander, meanwhile, were reunited with their past life.
