During the whole process of checking in and going through airport security, I was in a daze. Any sane person would want their bias to be their soulmate. Literally ask any fan of anything for that matter. Hell, supernatural fans would want Lucifer as their freaking soulmate. So obviously I'm the problem here. I just can't bring myself to get close in that way with someone again. What if the bond is wrong and we're not soulmates? What then?
A sigh escaped my lips as I put my sneakers back on. I was in my spare set of clothes from the gym. Unfortunately, since I forgot to bring a normal set of clothes, it was leggings with a sports bra and hoodie. Which, I didn't think much of until I was asked to take my hoodie off by TSA. I took it off not thinking of it and suddenly I was bombarded by people telling me to put it back on.
I know they only said it cause kids were around and not because of my body.
I know I'm sexy.
Grabbing my bag and standing up, I bounded over to Rex. "You ready, dinoboy?"
"Let's go heartbreaker," he slung a muscle-bound arm around my head and starting playing my hair.
I swatted his hands away. "Stop! You're messing up my sexy."
He paused. Then out of nowhere, he smiled and then started laughing. I hadn't seen him laugh all day. It brought a smile to my face. Finally, he wasn't so frustrated for once. "Glad to see you smile again..."
Eyes were on us everywhere as we went into the actual airport part. It was as if, I had become a celebrity. I could see people pointing and hear the murmurs of conversation as I walked past others. At one point, a kid ran to get Rex's autograph before staring at me in shock. I smiled politely and he rushed back to his parents, a slight blush rising on his cheeks. I really hope this is not going to happen everywhere I go. But we all know that it will.
We walked towards our Terminal finally having a little small chat here and there. I was getting hungry and even though Rex wouldn't admit it, I could hear the whale noises coming from his stomach too. We stopped at McDonald's and ordered some food, this time I could eat whatever. It was bliss. Expensive, but bliss.
As I ate my McChicken and fries, Rex started to speak. "I'm glad you seem more like yourself. I hope you know what you're doing." He took a gigantic bite from his burger. Ketchup was running down his chin and he nodded in approval at his Big Mac.
I hated to admit it, but I was kinda winging it at this point.
But hey! YOLO.
After we finished eating, we made it to our gate just as they called our group to board. We rushed to join the line and pulled out our phones so they could scan our tickets. We followed the crowd of people to the entrance of the plane. Fortunately, I was able to snag us business class seats. Not exactly first class, but right behind it. Once we got settled and our bags were in the overhead bin, I looked around.
My nosiness was rewarded by the people across from us staring at my face in wonder. I sighed slightly. This sign is such a nuisance.
"Hi," I acknowledged their stares with a wave.
They scrambled to regain their composure. The guy and girl, who seemed about our age, looked at each other and then back at me.
"You're Jin's soulmate? Is it real?" The girl was the first to get her wits back to her.
Remembering how the girl at the gym responded earlier, I was almost scared to tell the truth. Scared of her reaction. I've seen fans try to recreate their idols soulmate signs but others take it to far and actually convince others that they are soulmates with someone. However, the Jin recreations usually look cheesy.
