Audere est Facere

"Rowena Clarke - alias as Rowen Bates - heads to New York in 2006 to help the American Museum of Natural History boost their museum and keep it popular. She bumps into Larry Daley, a single father and ex-husband who is desperate for a job. So McPhee decides to apply him as a nightguard.

What Larry didn't realise was that the museum came to life, all because of a magical tablet.

Three nights of failed attempts to keep the museum from destroying itself, Larry gives up but tries the third time after seeing Nick (his son) lose faith in his father. The third night, however, doesn't go to plan when the previous nightguards: led by Cecil Fredricks, steal the tablet and also kidnap Rowen.

Trapped in the Egyptian hall, Nick and Larry open the sarcophagus after fifty four years thinking they would find a rotting evil corpse. However to their astonishment, it's a young man by the name of Ahkmenrah - who could speak English very well.

The three with their new companions (Sacagawea, Jedediah, Octavius, Attila and Teddy) try and get Rowen and the Tablet back. They are successful but not without the consequence of Rebecca Hutman, the docent, finding out.

As well as this, Rowena reveals to Larry that she's over two-hundred years old and knows Ahkmenrah when they were in Cambridge. Which changes the course of Larry's perspective of magic and science.

Three years later, with Larry gone a year before due to his success with his business, the museum has the biggest change. Rowena and Larry are too busy to notice until the night before the move of their friends.

But what they don't realise is that a certain capuchin decided to steal the tablet and they are under attack at the Smithsonian by an evil pharaoh called Kahmunrah. So Rowena and Larry decide to save them by entering the Federal Archives, not realising how large it is.

The museum comes to life and they are surrounded by Kahmunrah's men. They escape enough to give time and they meet two people. 

Things get revealed - such as Kahmunrah not being Kahmunrah. They get caught (unfortunately) and both Rowena and Jedediah are held as hostages until Larry and Ahkmenrah figure out the combination of the tablet to open the Gate to the Underworld.

During their search, more pasts are revealed. In particular is Rowena's hidden past during the Second World War. Larry and Amelia Earhart find the combination but are forced to give it to them after 'Kahmunrah' tortures their friends. The Gate is opened but the soldiers get a bit scared by a large statue of Abraham Lincoln and are chased back into the Underworld.

The Battle of the Smithsonian happens, and the true name of the fake Pharoah is revealed.

Khafre: the second son of Khufu. They defeat him though with revealing certain bits of Rowena, Ahk and Larry's part as Heka Guardians.

They return to the museum and they reveal the secret to McPhee to save the museum. But not without the heartbreak between Ahkmenrah and Rowena as secrets are revealed and the death of a beloved person changes the tide.

As time runs out for Rowena and her time in the US, she finally meets the other Wadjet Key holder: Salma Atkins. However, tensions rise as trust is measured by the protection of the tablet.

Ahkmenrah and Rowena share their thoughts and finally confess their love. But not without her farewell as she leaves New York to go back to London.

But as she leaves, things happen. Such as the beginning of the Order's plan to bring the end to the world and Leslie's involvement to the hidden war.

Now that we are up to date with the story: let us begin..."

A/N: AHHH! We now begin the big plot. Basically: parts 1 & 2 are build up plots leading up to this big plot. Part 1 was based around character establishment for both Rowena and Larry and Part 2 was the character establishment for Ahkmenrah and a part of Leslie.

And now: we begin something that may perhaps make you angry, cry and probably get me hate comments cus I may perhaps be killing character left, right and centre.

So that's a heads-up before people start reading this and think this is going to be a fluffy romance story. Don't worry! There will be fluffy moments between our lovely vulnerable characters. May it be between family, friends and couples - everything. Another thing to point out is that maybe there might be smut. I don't know yet. I've never written smut and I don't want it to be cringy.

Another question is: Why did I split the books?

Because parts 1&2 are very different to parts3&4. Part 1 and 2 are very much canon but the next ones are going to follow the beginning of Movie 3 but will divert. Another reason is that if I did put it all in Audere Est Facere it would have gone up to 60 chapters and I don't think people would read something chonky with 5-6k words in a chapter.

Hence why we have new title and it fits much better for these two parts.
