Hey guys! This is the first chapter of Caleo:one shots! Disclaimer- I do not own PJO or any character associated with it. Enjoy!!

I walked into the school laughing my head off, my best friend Jacob right beside me. We earned a few stares as we walked down the hall clutching our stomachs, but I was too busy trying to breath to notice.

We finally got to our lockers, and I had to lean against mine for support. Man, Jacob's sister was the coolest. We finally stopped laughing and gasping for breath, and we stood there talking for another minute until the bell rang. We said goodbye and I rushed off to first period, math. I groaned. Here comes one hour of torture. I found a seat at the back of the room and stared out of the window until class started.

"Alright, everybody! Settle down!" Our teacher, Ms. Mason, called out to us all. We quieted quickly, and Ms. Mason smiled.

"Now then. I hope you all had a great winter break, but now is time to focus back on school. We have a new student today, if she would please stand up and introduce herself." she said. A girl I did not notice before stood up in front of the class. I caught my breath. She was a looked like a goddess. She had beautiful cinnamon hair that was in a simple braid down her back. Her soft almond eyes scanned over us quickly before saying,

"My name is Calypso." Her voice was soft, and I wanted to melt. She was perfect. I watched as she sat down. All the other boys in the room looked at her closely, and I was instantly jealous. Wait, why would I be jealous? I barely even know this girl! I stared out the window, and occasionally peeked at Calypso in the front. I knew I could never get a girl like her, but I could try.

Lunch came too slowly, and when the bell rang, I bolted out of my third period class hungrily. I looked around for Calypso. I finally agreed to ask her to sit with my friends and me at lunch, since she had no friends. I finally found her in the middle of the courtyard, looking around her frantically. I walked up nervously, what should I say? Just ask if she wants to sit with you at lunch. I took a deep breath.

"Hi. My names Marcus. I wanted to know that, since you have no friends yet, if you wanted to sit with me and my friends?" I asked. She looked at me with her almond eyes and smiled. My brain melted at her smile. It was a caring smile that sent volts of electricity down my spine.

"Oh, I would love to!" she said, and I sighed in relief and disbelief as I led her to our spot under the tree. "Hey guys, this is Calypso, shes new here. I wanted her to make friends, so is it okay if she sits with us?" I asked them. They all smiled and nodded. I introduced Calypso to the group. There was me, Jacob, Emily, Simon, Grace, and Elijah. She got along pretty well with all of them. We were soon laughing and joking. Calypso kept looking around her, like she was expecting someone.

"What are you looking for, Calypso?" I asked her finally, and she turned to look at me with a blush on her face.

"Oh, nothing. I was just expecting a friend, that's all." she said shyly. I was shocked. She had a friend already? Although, it could be a friend from out of school. I shook the thought off. I was just about to ask her if she wanted to come to my house to do homework after school, when I heard a shout in the distance. Calypso turned around instantly, an eager look in her eyes. In the distance I saw a boy, coming our direction. He was quite skinny and he had scars running along his arms. His dark hair was messy and went everywhere. I was just about to point out how scraggly the guy was when Calypso gasped and hopped up. She started running towards him and he started running towards her. When he reached her, the skinny guy reached down and hugged her. She put her arms around his neck and hugged back. This must be the friend.

"Leo! I didn't know you were going to be here today, but I kept looking around for you anyway. I missed you!" Calypso told him, and the so called guy named Leo laughed.

"You were only gone for two days, sunshine!" he told her, and she sighed.

"I know, but its hard leaving you right when I just found you again." she whispered to him. He smiled down at her.

"I know." he said, and she reached up and gave him a kiss on the lips. Leo deepened the kiss and I felt my heart shatter. I only knew the girl for a couple of hours, but we were hitting it off pretty well. I knew I would never have a chance with a beautiful girl like her. Calypso pulled back.

"I love you." she whispered.

"I love you too, sunshine." he whispered back. Calypso sighed.

"Please tell me you're going to go here for the rest of the year." she asked him. He laughed.

"Of course! I won't leave you, don't worry." he said. Great. The beautiful Calypso's boyfriend is going to stay here where I have to see him hug and kiss my crush every day. Perfect. Note the sarcasm.

I know I'll never have a chance with Calypso, but maybe another girl...

Okay, so that was that! I hope you guys liked it, but I get it if you don't. It is pretty bad, isn't it? Well, the next chapter will be up in a couple of days, so happy new year, guys!
