Chapter 16

When I woke the beauty of the sun met me. Never before had I felt this wonderful and witnessed something this beautiful. The snow wasn't falling but it blanketed the ground with many compacted layers covering the trees to make them look like snowballs. It looked absolutely beautiful.

I stretched my arms out before rolling over and coming face to face with a sleeping Logan. He lay outstretched on the bed. The animal skin only covered his lower area revealing his perfectly toned stomach and V area that made my body shiver with excitement. Logan looked so peaceful, his rosy lips slightly parted and his eyes darting back and forth under his lids. How could I have found such a wonderful guy?

It had been confusing at first and slightly...hurtful but it worked out and it couldn't be more amazing.

My first time had been with him and I never believed it could feel like that. No one ever described it to me like that, the women that I talked to always said that it hurt and the men didn't always take their enjoyment into consideration. Now with us, that all went out the window. I felt like my whole body was on fire and close to exploding. It was like we were made for each other.

I trailed my fingers down his chest and he shivered with a gentle smile on his face. I planted a kiss on his shoulder feeling the warmth radiating from him and into my lips. I kissed across his chest and just below his ribs. I was careful to avoid his side wound as I curled my body around him until I was straddling his hips. His grin widened and I felt his soft, warm hands caress my thighs and up to my hips.

"What are you doing, Alice?" Logan asked in a husky voice. He opened his eyes and I smiled.

I bit my lip. "Enjoying the view."

"So am I." I blushed when I saw his eyes gaze down at my exposed breasts. His hands continued to move up until they were upon them and a long moan escaped my lips. I arched my back making him groan as I rubbed against him. "You're so beautiful, Alice."

"Even though I really want this, I want a bath more," I sighed.

He pouted disappointed but nodded his head. "You heat up the water and I'll get the eggs for breakfast."

I hopped off him and grabbed my still intact clothes and dressed. I slipped on my shoes and walked out of the room and into the den where the fire still blazed well keeping the hut warm. It was quite bright through the windows as the sun reflected off the extremely white snow. I found a metal pale in a cupboard and walked out the door. This was the first time I had been outside since I got here. It was strange for me and I was still frightened of what was lurking around the corner.

I took a deep breath and walked the small distance to the low well that I had seen when arriving. I tied the rope to the pale and dropped it into the water. The hair on the back of my neck stood on end and my body whipped around expecting a massive hairy wolf but all I saw was snow and Logan.

He smiled and waved and I shakily returned the smile. I took a deep breath and exhaled. What am I thinking, I killed the wolf. He hasn't shown himself in days so why would he come back now if he was alive? I shook my head and heaved at the rope lifting the pale into view. I pulled it up letting the water slosh about before dragging it back to the house.

I still felt somebody watching but I couldn't see Logan anywhere. Goosebumps were scattered over my body and I wasn't so sure it was because of the freezing cold air. I pushed open the heavy door and closed it behind me before quickly shuffling over and hanging the pale over the fire to heat. I wiped my hands on the slightly ripped skirt and sat myself on the stuffed chair.

After a few minutes I found myself smiling. I couldn't stop thinking about last night and how beautifully amazing it had been. Before last night it had been unimaginable but now, I didn't ever want to stop feeling it in case the feeling suddenly disappeared.
