Stacy was looking back and forth between me and Luke who was now standing beside me. Luke's smile never wavered as he eyed my get-up and stopped on my face.

"You two know each other?" She asked.

"He's a new schoolmate In the University." I said.

Stacy snapped her fingers and pointed to Luke, "Ah right, you transferred to Prescott."

Luke nodded and crossed his arms, "Can we talk, Liya?"

I looked at Stacy and she just shrugged, "Thank you for being here, Daneliya. You made this night even more magical."

She gave me a hug as I blushed at her comment then went to the dance floor as her friends followed her too. Luke then nudged his head to the railings where it overlooked the city and we both approached it.

It was the most quiet part on the whole party as it was separated by a glass wall, we could still hear music but it was very faint.

I placed my hands on the railings and took in the sight of the city.
"How are you here, Luke?"

He stood beside me with his hands in his pocket and his gaze fixated on the view also, "My middle name is Soon, Stacy is my first cousin."

I nodded, "Why did you bring me out here?"

He looked at me and gave a lopsided smile, "So this was where you were going. I was going to ask you to accompany me here tonight you know."

I recalled what happened earlier at the gym before Colin completely cut off our conversation, he was going to ask me something, "Oh, is that what you were going to ask?"

He chuckled and nodded then turned to look at me.
"You look absolutely stunning tonight."

I laughed, "Not too bad yourself, Luke. How did the tryouts go earlier?"

His expression faltered as he looked down on my shoes. He was contemplating whether to tell me or not.

"Maybe you should ask Colin, I think he would very much like to tell you himself."

Before I could even ask him why, my phone rang and my mother's face appeared on the screen. I didn't need to answer it because I knew that she was looking for me. Luke noticed the screen and must have read it because he stood straight and gave a small smile.

"You should get going, do you have a car?" He asked.

I shook my head, "I always take the cab. I'll see you tomorrow?"

The doors opened and Stacy appeared with a very happy expression. She looked drunk and that only confirmed my suspicion when she walked to a potted plant and threw up in it. I scrunched my nose in disgust and I could hear Luke sigh.

"Yeah, see you tomorrow. Stacy always throws up when she gets too drunk, but she'd still drink anyway." He said.

He approached her and began to carry her bridal style into the party. I looked at my phone and texted my mother that I was on my way, then I made my way out of there.

The next day, Lila and I were having lunch at the cafeteria. It has been a while since I hung out here and it's a good thing too because it wouldn't really be the same without Lila. We were so busy talking about College when two individuals sat beside us in our square shaped table.

Connor stretched in his seat on my left. "Hey, girls. What's on the menu?"

Colin plopped on my right and crossed his arms, staring at the table like it was his enemy. I looked at Lila questioningly who was mirroring my expression.
