"Markell wake yo ass up!" My mother yells making me fall onto the hardwood floor. "Why is you yelling for." I asked getting up off the floor. "Cause I can." She replies. "I just feel as if there is a better way to wake me up with out me breaking a hip." I say. "Boy, hurry up and get dressed." She rebuttals.
After getting ready and doing my daily routine, I go down stairs and see my little brother and deciding on smacking him upside the head. "Ow...why you hit me." He dramatically replies. "Cause I can." I say grabbing a pop tart out the pantry and heating it up in the microwave. "Markell?" My stepdad calls out. "Sir?" I answer him knowing what he about to ask. "You still single right?" He ask. "As single as I wanna be." Not really knowing that answer myself. "Good..cause all your siblings is gonna be here this weekend." He says. "Ooh...yes." I say excited. Me and my siblings don't know how to act together but, with the oldest 3 being in college and me about to graduate we don't really spend time with each other. "Uh uh...yall better behave to cause we not having a Christmas repeat." My mother says making me remember those wild events. All imma say is that my siblings bring out each other's inner crackhead. "When us everybody coming?" I ask. "This Friday." My mom answers reminding me to tell them about the talent show. "Ohh...I forgot to tell y'all but I signed up for the talent show." I yell on my way out the house heading to my car.
Time skip | 1:15 pm
"Kells?" Sierra calls out to me. "Yes?" I answer her. "You seen what Derrick got on today?" She asks. "No, we don't have any classes with each other till after lunch." I say with concerned cause it must be bad. "Is Derrick that dude who snatched you up yesterday?" Xay asks. "Yeah.. that's him." I say with a sigh. He really needs to stop snatching me up like a rag doll tho. I grab my tray and we head over to our table where Chloe, Kylene, Tay and Tony are already sitting. After sitting down for about 3 minutes, Dee finally walks in with Jordan and this nigga got me fucked up. This man over here got his basketball shorts rolled up to the gods showing all my goods.
He walks towards our table and sit beside me like his dick ain't on display. "Hey" He says trying to hug me but I move away from him. "Mane...what's wrong with you now." He says getting aggravated. I lean into his ear and whispers "The fact that you got my dick on display while yo fine ass think you cute wearing yo shorts like that." "Yo dick?" He questions while stealing a fry from me. "Ain't that what I said." I say with a attitude, causing him to just smirk and bring me onto his lap. "You lucky yo dick small so, ain't nobody gonna want it." I say with a shoulder shrug. "Ahh...I see you for games huh." He says causing me to laugh and redirecting my attention to the rest of the table.
"Ohh...guys my brother is coming back Friday for spring break." I tell them knowing they're gonna get excited. "You said that as if he's gonna be happy when he sees that." Chloe says pointing between me and Dee. "Wym...I practically still single." I say. "Single?" Dee asks moving me of his lap. "No....I'm jp." I say trying to hug him. "Naw..you good." He says. "Y'all always argue or some." Xay ask. "No." I say. "That's a lie." Chloe says and everybody else nods in agreement.
Time skip | 3:00 pm
"I wanna sing a song that's gonna make people cry." I say to Chloe. Me and Chloe are going choosing songs while we wait for the boys and Sierra to finish with their practices. "Nigga you might as well that's all you know". She replies. "Okay, cause you didn't have to do me like that and it's not my fault...I be hurting." I say defending my self. "Nigga, the lies you know you just emotional." She says back laughing. "Okay that's not the point." I say trying to change the subject. "On another note my nigga look good." I say admiring Dee on the court. "Must be nice to be able to date somebody." Chloe mumbles. "What y'all talking about?" Sierra questions coming over to us. "Nothing picking songs for me to sing." I reply back to her. "Oh...any luck." She asks. "No, he keeps staring at DJ." Chloe answers. "We can do it later at one of our houses." Sierra suggest. "Yeah...cause I only got one day to pick and learn." I say with a sigh. "Ok...have y'all seen how Xay and Tony been looking at each other." Sierra ask. "No...let me find out." Chloe says getting geeked. "Mane..they would be cute tho." I say imagining them together." I add to the conversation.
Time skip | 5:00 pm
"Hey Markell." I heard causing me to look around the full gym. Derrick dragged me to this Junior high game to watch his cousin play basketball. I wave in the direction that I heard the my name called in. I honestly don't know nobody who would be here. "Come on I found a seat." Dee says. I nod my head and follow him to where we're gonna be sitting.
The halftime buzzer goes off and everybody runs off to the concession stand area. I don't understand why everybody waits until halftime knowing it's gonna be packed. Dee shakes me telling me to move my head off his shoulders and that he is about to go to the concession stand. I get stand up about to go with him cause what I'm not about to sit here bored. Halfway to the concession stand Dee grabs my hand catching me off guard. I look up at him and he just smiles at me. His smile is adorable 😍.
Time skip | 7:20 pm
"I think you should do Brown eyes." Sierra says. We currently going through my playlist and choosing songs I know. "Or Smash into you." Chloe says. "Ohh...Smash into you is a good one I might do that but for now let's keep looking." I reply. After 5 more minutes of searching we decided on either Smash Into You or I Have Nothing. "Imma do I Have Nothing since it showcases more vocal capability." I say. "Now, that we got this solved what we doing for spring break that is in 3 days and we haven't even decided on a destination." Chloe says. "I thought you said Miami." Sierra ask. "No...I just suggested it but I guess that's where we going." Chloe says. "Well tell the boys." I say. "I'm glad we chose Miami cause I already found a house we just gotta pay to rent it out." Chloe says. "How much is it?" I ask. "It's like 2.4k." She says. "Alright I'll get my momma to send me the money." "I'll text the groupchat." Sierra says.

I tell them before answering Dee's second call.
