Chapter 20: Phoenix And A New Companion

I walked to the living room and saw everyone, even Master in here. "You guys still haven't go home?" I spoke first as I caught their attention. "We just arrive, Y/n. Kinda need to talk about something..."

"Something?" I repeated before I blink and tilted my head in confusion.

"I'm hungry..." Queen mention before she grab a small looking rock from a glass and feed herself and Roko. "Me too... I wonder when dinner will be done..." Spade join in as he eat one too.

"What is this?" I ask before I grab one and show it to them. "A kompeito... Good enough to be eaten..." Hachi explain before I went more confused. "Kompeito is food? It looks like space rocks..." I said.

"It's candy..."

"Candy?" Once I said that, they did an anime fall and scream, "You haven't eat a candy?!?" "Guys, it's candy. I don't even know what that means..." I remind them.

"Candy is a sweet flavor food. There's even sour ones... And 'kompeito' candy is a sweet and sour flavor at the same time... It's sticky and it pop inside your mouth..." Master explain.

My eyes twitch a bit when he mention 'sour'. "Here Y/n... This one is sweet..." Spade said, like he read my mind before he give me a pink one. "N-No thanks... Grandpa told me that eating something too sweet can cause tonsils..." I refused.

"It's not that sweet... You should try it... Besides, it's everyone's favorite candy..." Queen said before I give a weird look and put on inside my mouth. Ohm... it pop~ But I don't like too much sweets even it's tasty..." I said.

"I thought you said you like sweets..." the dog said. "I do love sweets. If there's something spicy in it. I like sweet & spicy mix together..." I corrected them before their mouth went in 'o'.

"The kompeito is really good, at least..." Roko mention. "It does, but it isn't enough to fill your stomach at all... Where's the food?" the diamond girl added. "Why are you coming here to be fed, anyway?!?" Joker scream at them. "Yes. I still don't get it..." I said in confusion.

"So the ancient treasure was a God-Beast, huh?..." Master mention. "And why are you here too, Master!!? The red magician added. Before the eldest can even answer, Hachi interrupt up.

"Here you are! Just help yourselves!" The small ninja said. "Hmmm hey, curry looks good!" Joker exclaim before he start eating. "What do you mean the ancient treasure was a God-Beast?" I ask, but they ignore me even they heard it.

"The God-Beast of Pharaoh's Temple, eh? Too bad it's not a pearl..."

"Legends said, 'God-Beast is called messenger of the gods and an incarnation of evil... It's a creature shrouded in mystery..." the white magician explain. "A messenger of the gods or the incarnation of evil?" The diamond girl repeated.

"That guy was kind of like that, too..." Spade mention.

"Grrrr, that yawning jerk! There was some kind of weird trick he used! Next time, I'm gonna beat him!-" Joker blurt before he cover his mouth and quickly turn to me, seeing my surprised expression.

"Y-Yawning Jerk?..." I repeated before I dropped my spoon in my plate. "Nothing!"

"The legend says that he who finds the God-Beast will be led to the lost, ancient treasure..." Silver finished before the three Phantom Thieves decided to went after it... "Can I please come too?" I ask before they give each other glance.

"U-Uuuhhh..." they respond in sync. Before they can answer, Dark Eye interrupt and show us the news.

"We've just received word that the mysterious organization, Devil Fang, has put an absurd bounty on three phantom thieves' heads.
