Chapter 13: The Luckiest Phantom Thief

•Y/N's POV•

"What are this small particles called?" I ask as I touch the dry dirt. "Remember the beach you went? The ground you were stepping that time was the same as this one. Only this place has no water around and the hottest place when it's day time. So the thing surrounding us right now is called 'sand'..." Joker explain as he and Hachi do their thing while I watch them.

"Really? Huh, I didn't notice..." I mumbled. "Do you seriously know nothing about the places, countries and other technologies?" The small ninja ask in disbelief. "I don't know much about earth, but I do know space and some technology..." I stated before he facepalm.

"Knowing Joker, he could be anywhere right now... Don't let your guards down!" I heard a guy said from above before the magician giggle at their dumbness. "No need... I'm already here..." he whisper.

"Applying vibration to a loose surface like sand will create quick sand. It's the same principal as a bottomless swamp..." he added for an explanation so I could understand. "Brilliant as ever, Joker-san!!!" The ninja exclaim in whisper. Soon, Hachi open the looking vacuum cleaner to see the Golden Birdman Statue.

"Heh, easy-peasy... Now let's get going..." he whisper as I agreed. Suddenly, Hachi sneeze before I scream when swords appear out of the sand above. "Darn it!" Joker cursed and grab my wrist as Hachi followed. "Pardon us!"

We reach the outside serface with Road Joker and soon left the place. "The Birdman Statue of Osiris is mine now! Take care!" Joker yelled from the gang.

"Hey Joker, I practice how to stay conscious in hot temparatures for the pass few days and I think I can manage once the sun appear..." I mention before he grin and give me a proud thumbs as he drive.

Soon, hours passed and the sun shows up. He was right. It clearly was hot. "That's Egypt for you! The day always starts off hot..." Joker reminded. "And I still don't understand how your uniform is still not soak from your sweats..." I said. "It has cold and warm heater inside..." he mention before my mouth went open.

Lucky him...

"Once we get to town, let's have some cold juice!" He added before I agree with him. "Maybe if we make it out alive!" Hachi reminded before I gasp when I saw tons of gang in their cars chasing us with a guns. "Darn it. Those guys don't give up..." The magician sigh in annoyance.

"Give back the treasure!"

"Give it back!"

"We'll chase you as far as we have to!"

The people who were chasing us scream before one car speed up next to us. "God stars, I hate seeing guns..." I mumble before Joker speed up, but the car still followed. Don't think you'll make it out alive!" One guys said before I scream when he start hitting Joker's car.

I quickly grab my necklace and scream, "Jinx!". Not too soon, that guy's tire fell of that made his vehicle stop moving. "Awesome move, Miss Y/n!" Hachi complimented before we saw figure with triangle shape above the tall triangle rocks.

"There's a person on that pyramid!" The ninja mention before me and Joker both look confused. "I'll be taking that treasure!" The man with triangle head scream and throw himself to us, but miss and fell on the floor.

"Oh my goodness!" I quickly yelled when I saw that man. "Wh-What was all that?" My crush ask, clearly confused. "I hope he's okay..." Hachi added. "Y/n, did you made it jinx again? Don't you say jinxing someone who didn't do anything wrong to you is bad and unfair?" The magician ask.
