Chapter 9: A Challenge from Lobelia Girls' Academy

So funny story, I was completely convinced that I had this posted on Saturday but, as it turns out, I did not. I apologize immensely for the 2-day delay.

Regardless of the delay, I'm back on this story after 2 years! (So really, what's two more days after that long wait?)

It's gonna get weird. We're entering more Naruto territory folks, get ready for me to rip canon to shreds because it's gonna get real weird. (also, any inconsistencies within this story are unintentional, I reread old chapters but since it's been so long and I'm an idiot and didn't write my original plan down, I changed a lot of what was going to happen in regards to what's going to happen)

Also... This was the worst chapter to come back on! It's so boring (I did hold a vote on my Ao3 about whether or not I should skip it but people seemed to want it...) I struggled a lot with this chapter purely for that reason but next time it will be super long so forgive me for the boring comeback! Despite that, it was pretty still pretty long... Next time will probably exceed 10k words (possibly closer to 15k) though... So prepare!

I did try to foreshadow as much as I could and imply what my plans are without making it too obvious. Originally this was going to happen in a ninja-free world but I forgot then I lost the original outline so in the last two years I completely reworked this story! It'll be fun though, I promise! There's lots of fun crossover-y stuff to look forward to. Soon it won't just be a Naruto-insert, but a full-fledged crossover!

EDIT 7/28/2020: I forgot to mention that I changed the cover a while back. It's much nicer but still very similar! What do you guys think? I have the comparison above ^-^

"Only those with excellent social standing and those from filthy rich families are lucky enough to spend their time here, at the elite private school: Ouran Academy." The blond explained. "The Ouran Host Club is where the school's handsomest boys with too much time on their hands entertain young ladies who also have way too much time on their hands. Just think of it as Ouran Academy's elegant playground for the super rich and beautiful."

At the gates of Ouran Academy wisteria petals blow in the soft spring breeze as three feminine figures dance, spinning en pointe outside the private school.

"Huh? Really? All the afternoon classes have been cancelled?" The blond host club knight asked.

Class had ended earlier than usual and students from the class, who hadn't left, were talking in small cliques. Naruto and Haruhi, who'd been uninformed about whatever it was that was happening and were clearly confused, had been tracked down by two female students who knew them from the Host club and explained the situation.

"You mean you two didn't know? For these two days, today and tomorrow, the whole school is holding an exposition for the cultural clubs. Drama and Choral clubs from other schools have been invited." One girl informed them.

"It's a big annual event that we hold," Added another.

"Is that so?" Haruhi muttered.

"What?! You've never tried it?!" Twin voices interrupted the conversation.

Naruto and Haruhi turned to see Hikaru and Kaoru grilling the Host club's manager a few meters away, their voices loud enough to be heard from any point in the room yet somehow only drawing the attention of the two disguised female hosts.
