Ryan had turned up outside my apartment building bright and early morning to drop off to the airport. It was already the weekend and  I was packing my bags , trying to muster as much courage I can to face my parents , when he turned up.

Justin was the one who was supposed to drop me, I was little surprised and honestly a lot annoyed when it was Ryan who showed.

I had huffed and sighed and scowled as he helped me get my things into the trunk.

He just gave me his classic asshole smirk.

I didn't know what I was supposed to make of this new caring person Ryan seemed to suddenly become.

He had never given a shit about how , why or what I did.

He was being overly friendly and overly attached.

I wondered what was going inside his.

I had my doubts.

But I also wondered if I even should be thinking about it.

It had never done me any good before thinking about whatever Ryan did.

And there was Adam. I had felt something when we danced but I chose not to acknowledge it.

Then there was kiss. I couldn't just ignore what I felt then. Yes I was pissed off but there was also something else.

He had told me I was gorgeous when I had confronted him and had even got me the bracelet.

It wasn't the gift but the fact that he would actually think of getting me something , that he would take the effort ,  pleased me.

I watched the light strike and reflect off the bracelet Adam had gifted me.

"You know what if your Dad disowns you. You don't have to worry about cash." Ryan said eying the bracelet with distaste.

"I am not worried about the cash.......It's not about money Ryan. I just don't want them to think that I am selfish."

He looked away from the road to roll his eyes at me.

"Just ask me why you don't have to worry about cash."

Fine.

"Why? Because of the series?"

He shook his head no.

"If you are going to tell me that you'll lend me money. I want you to know that you don't have to." I sneered.

I was not taking money from him.

Ryan was my brother's best friend and that was all he was to me.

I wasn't going to borrow money from my brother's friend.

He laughed " Don't get so hyper. I was gonna suggest pawning that bracelet."

I smacked him on the arm ,hard.

"Oww."

"Don't be such a jerk."

He chuckled.

"Judith do you remember what you told me on your fourteenth birthday?"

I gulped.

Why is he talking about this now?

"I wanted to know if...
