SYNOPSIS!
Maude Abston always knew what fear felt like; the dark cloud that wrapped itself around the frontal lobe of her brain and created doubts, pauses of hesitation. It had been that way for as long as she could remember, when the sun set and when it rose, the dark haired girl never missed the ray of sun that passed by her.
That was when Maude was young, stupid and naive to even think that evil didn't exist in this world until she saw her father's true colors bleed through white paper - staining her hands with the smell of copper that she wanted so badly to rid herself of but couldn't.
Thomas Shelby hadn't heard about her yet, the woman who always wore her mary janes polished and let clean cut gems adorn her pale complexion. So imagine his surprise when the raven haired beauty steps into his family's betting den, unannounced and proposes the idea of an alliance, an eye for an eye essentially.
Maude Abston would light Thomas Shelby's cigarette and he'd light hers. Unfortunately, one of them runs out of matches.
