Camilla felt how he slowly let go of her hand as he said “no, no we’re still together, she was supposed to come but uhm she had a concert back in Ann Arbor” “right right” Nick said as he looked from AJ to Camilla then back to AJ. As the two boys started to talk about music Camilla started to find a place to sit, she found two seats in the back and on the side marked ‘reserved for StarKid’ she smiled a bit as she removed the two pieces of paper and sat down. She noticed how from here she could see everything that was going on and still be hidden a bit away. As she sat there in her own thoughts looking over the people running around on stage a bit in panic she suddenly heard a familiar voice next to her “you made it” as Camilla turned around she realized the voice belonged to the girl from yesterday, “yeah I kinda promised” Camilla said as her brain was working hard on trying to remember the poor girls name, “I get it. I promised too. My Jeff has the lead and he won’t stop talking about it, the only way I could get him to stop talking was if I went tonight” the girl said as a smile spread across her face, “so you and AJ huh?” the smile disappeared from Camilla’s face as her brain replayed the conversation from earlier “no we’re just friends” before the two of them could say anything a voice coming from the stage said “people places! It’s time to start letting people in! Actors if you would please get ready to start the show!” Camilla sat there as she saw how an almost panic alike spread across the people on stage “well I’ll see you later” the girl said as she got up and walked over to her seat. Not long after AJ came up to his and Camilla’s seats with a big smile on his face he sat down as he said, “what a lovely little space you found for us here” Camilla forced a smile onto her face. She really didn’t want to talk to him. As people started coming in and filling up the other seats he carefully places his hands on top of hers as he sent her a heart-warming smile. Even though she was mad at him for letting her believe it was a date, she still could feel the butterflies in her stomach starting to fly around again. Something about this boy made her forget everything. As the lights started to dimmer down she felt her phone buzz in her purse, carefully she pulled it out and noticed a text

Joey: Hey! I’ve been sitting here waiting for you to say hi but it looks like you are busy tho

A smile spread across her face as she looked up from her phone and looked around. In the dimmer light, she managed to see a familiar face across the theatre. As their eyes met a big smile spread across his face as he mumbled a simple hi. As quickly as their eyes had met just as quickly, the show started. From time to time during the show AJ would squeeze her hand and every time their eyes met he would sent her a big smile.

As the show hit intermission AJ turned in his seat so he was facing her, still not letting go of her hand and with a smile almost too big for his face he asked her “so are you enjoying yourself yet?” “I am” she said as she sent him just as big a smile back, “well why don’t I go find something to drink huh?” Camilla nodded at him as he got up and left the theatre. When he was out of sight Camilla looked around after Joey but he was nowhere to be seen. So she took out her phone and as she was about to type out a message she heard a voice next to her saying “don’t mind sending that, I’m right here” almost immediately she knew who it was and she could feel the heat started to rise in her cheeks “well hello to you good sir” she said as their eyes met “if you don’t mind me asking, what are you doing here? And how do you know AJ?” he looked like he was in a hurry, he kept looking over his shoulder “well we met the other day actually, when Andrew took Charlie and me to the theatre, he had to help out with something. And then AJ asked if I wanted to go see this show” a bit disappointed Joey said “oh okay. But you… you do know he has girlfriend right?” Camilla could feel her heart becoming heavy as once more this girlfriend was being brought up, fighting to hold back a tear she simply said “yeah I know, we’re just here as friends that’s all” slowly she noticed how Joey moved in and placed a small kiss on her cheek. As he pulled away he said, “good, then I might be getting my second date soon then” and by that he sent her a smirk as he stood up and left. Not long after AJ returned back to their seats with two cup of coffee. As he handed one of the cups to her he sent her smile and said, “there you go” “why thank you good sir” Camilla said as she took the cup out of his hand. Before any of them could say anything else the show started once more.

At one point Camilla felt his hand grabbing hers and how he intertwined their fingers. As she turned her head to look at him, her eyes met with his as a big smile spread across his face. She was confused about the whole thing. She knew somewhere he had a girlfriend but still here she was holding his hand making him smile. Once more she let go of the thought about his girlfriend and send him a big smile as she leaned in towards him. For the rest of the show her head was rested on his shoulder. It just felt right. As the show came to an end, everyone around them started to clap as they stood up as the cast one last time came out for a bow, AJ let go of her hand as the both of them go up with the rest of the theater, “so what did you think?” he asked her as they walked out into the bar “it was amazing! I would love to meet the writer of this brilliant play! Aladdin being my favorite play of all time and now this! Man I’m glad you took me!” she pulled herself closer to him and gave him a big hug as a thank you. As they slowly pulled apart they seemed to have forgotten everyone around them. Their eyes were locked onto each others. AJ slowly moved in and placed a small kiss on her cheek, before saying, “hey wanna get outta here?” a smile spread across her face as she grabbed his hand and said “yeah” and by that the two of them left the theater hand in hand. As they got out front and were about to head for the parking lot a voice came up behind them and said, “uhm sory, I was just wondering if I could get a picture” in that moment AJ let go of her hand as he turned around and sent the girl behind them a smile as he said “sure” Camilla stood there and watched as the crowd of people around them grew and grew. She stood there watching this guy she had really started to like smiling and posing for every single picture, it didn’t look like he was bothered at all about it all. Still confused about the whole night she walked around the building to the parking lot to absorb it all. As she pulled about her phone and was about to dial Andrew’s number to tell him she was heading home, she felt a hand on her shoulder followed by a voice quietly asking, “leaving already?” she turned around and looked straight into AJ’s eyes, “yeah I just need too…” she was cut short of AJ taking her face into his hands and started to move in slowly. Closer and closer. Just as the tips of their noses were touching, a phone started to ring somewhere close to them. A sigh escaped AJ’s lips as he let go of her face and pulled away from her again. He pulled out his phone and let out yet another sigh as he said, “I’m sorry I should really get this” he sent her one last smile before answering his phone with a “hello beautiful!”
