Chapter 9

"Cam hold up for a second there" Camilla let herself fall back into the car seat as she noticed how he still was holding her hand. Her inside was freaking out, she could feel how her whole body was filled with this to feeling, and it felt their hands were made to hold each other. As she turned her head so she faced AJ, she saw how the smile on his face grew bigger and bigger. She herself started to smile at him. Once more they found them self in their own little world looking straight into each other’s eyes, Camilla noticed how AJ took a deep breath before he started moving closer to her, right as the tip of their noses touched and they were about to kiss, they were thrown back into reality by a knock on the window. They pulled apart and noticed a boy and a girl standing next to the car, AJ rolled down his window as he said “Jeff, what are you doing here? And who is this lovely lady if I may ask” Camilla saw how Jeff pulled the girl a little bit closer before placing a small kiss on her cheek, “this is my uhm, my, my girlfriend Ashleigh. And my I ask you who this lady is next to you AJ” Jeff said as the girl next to him started to blush. AJ turned around to face Camilla as he gave her a quick smile before saying “this is, this is uhm my good friend Camilla” Camilla could feel how her heart once more became heavy and he said ‘my good friend’ maybe this hadn’t been a date after all. Before anyone could do or say anything else Camilla said “well I gotta go my boys are waiting for me inside, thanks for the ride AJ and nice to meet you two” she said before getting up. As she was about to close the door she once more heard AJ say “Cam hold up, I uhm, I’ll text you about tomorrow right” Camilla just closed the door and started walking fast towards the entrance to the ER.

As she got inside she walked up the reception and said “excuse me, I’m looking for an Andrew Rannells” the nurse on the other side of the counter looked up and down on Camilla before she said “sorry we don’t have anyone with that name” as the nurse was about to close the little window Camilla said “you don’t get it, I’m the nanny for his little brother and he told me to pick up his brother here” the nurse started laughing as she said “sure and I’m Madonna” before she closed the little window. Camilla let out a small sigh as she sat down in one of the waiting room chairs. That was when she had noticed that in her rush to leave AJ’s car she had forgotten her purse. She let out another sigh, as she was about to get up she saw the girl from the parking lot walking through the door, she walked over to Camilla with something in her hand. As she reached Camilla she handed her Camilla her purse and said “AJ said you forgot this one” a smile spread across Camilla’s age as she gave the girl a hug and said “thank you” the girl smiled back at Camilla as she said “I guess I’ll see you tomorrow then, AJ said you two was coming, Jeff has the lead” she gave Camilla another hug before turning around and said “bye” and by that she left the ER.

Camilla let herself fall down in the chair again, she had no idea how she would get into the place Andrew and Charlie was in. That was when her phone started ringing. She took her phone out of her purse and saw Andrew’s name on her display, as she took it she could hear him in the other end almost yelling at her “where are you? Charlie is driving me crazy? You said 30 minutes 31 minutes ago! Lady get in here and do your job!” a small laugh escaped Camilla’s lips before she said “well I would but the lady in the reception wouldn’t let me in, she say you aren’t here” a sight came from the other end of her phone followed by Andrew saying “get me the nurse on the phone I’ll talk to her” Camilla got up and knocked on the window again as the nurse became visible again Camilla said “so Andrew would like to talk to you” Camilla handed her phone towards the nurse. Camilla couldn’t hear what he told the nurse, all she could see what the nurse nodding as a respond. The nurse handed the phone back to Camilla as she said “room 20C, just follow the green arrows” “thank you Madonna” Camilla said as she placed her phone back in her purse and started following the green arrows in the floor. As she reached the door to 20C she could hear Charlie singing on the other side of the door. A smile spread across Camilla’s face as she walked in and saw the situation going on in the room. There Charlie was running around the bed singing Christmas songs while Andrew was laying in the bed with his left leg broken and without the ability to chase after the little boy, as she got over to them she laughed as she asked “so what happened with him?” while pointing at Charlie a sight came from  Andrew before saying “the nurse gave him sugar, good luck” “camcamcamcamcamcamcamcamcamcamcamcamcamcamcamcam!” said as he started pulling Camilla’s arm, “Charlie what did I tell you the other day, breath remember?” Charlie let go of her arm as he ran out on the hall, “so how was your date?” Andrew asked as a big smile spread across his face, Camilla’s smile disappeared from her face as she said “it wasn’t a date, and if it was it was really bad. But I get to see him tomorrow” a laugh came from Andrew as he said “a second date huh? It couldn’t have been that bad?” “it was, I’ll tell you about it later okay? I gotta go get Charlie and get home, when are you allowed to leave?” Camilla said as she got up “well as soon as this is dry” he said point towards his leg. Camilla gave him a nod as she walked out into the hall to find Charlie.
