~ Lucifer POV ~

Oh crap.

I didn't think there would be person out at this time, since everyone usually goes to sleep early. Only the nighttime bodyguards are around and I can usually get away from them. There was a person and it was Lucienne, who was about ready to kick me in the face.

She relaxed when she saw me and say back down on the bench. I did see her cry, but I wasn't going to mention that...

"What are you doing out here so late?" She snapped, obviously angry that I had appeared.

"Uh, going back to my room?" I lied.

She scoffed, "you must be an idiot if you think I'm going to believe that."

I sat down next to her, and she flinched, sliding away from me. Lucy was at the end of the bench and it looked like she was about to fall.

"What are you doing?" I asked curiously.

"Where's Princess Penelope?" She mumbled, looking down at the ground, "wouldn't you be running away with her by now?"

I laughed, "that's ridiculous. To be honest, I don't ever wish to marry Penelope Nanamari."

Lucienne raised an eyebrow at me. She was obviously curious to why I married Penny in the first place. My parents and sister often wondered too, but I never had actually told them the true reason.

"Well... Penny can be kind of clingy, but I have to marry her because she kind of already spread the rumors around. And in plus..." I sighed, not believing that I'm telling the newest addition to the bodyguard team, "her parents threatened to kill Monica and Leon if I didn't oblige."

Lucy looked up at the stars and I awkwardly looked up also. She was a bodyguard after all and could do something about it. I probably shouldn't have told her after all.

"Do you see how many stars are up there?" She asked, putting a lock of fallen hair behind her ear.

"Probably millions," I replied.

"That's how many fucks I give. You realize I can't do anything for you, correct? My parents are now nobles and they would probably send me to prison if I said anything," Lucienne snorted very unladylike.

Wait.

"Your... Parents?" I asked.

"You're too serious, but yes my parents. Leon, Penelope, and I are all related. I'm the youngest since I'm twenty two," she explained.

She did look similar to Leon, Penelope, Tami, and Jason Nanamari. Lucienne had chocolate brown eyes, just like Tami. There was a little asian mixed in the family, since Tami's side was Korean. She had black hair also like Tami. She had similar tan skin to Leon and nose like Penny. She gained a little of Jason's structure.

"Wanna take a picture? It lasts longer," she joked.

In all my years in the kingdom, only my family and Leon joked and teased with me. Lucienne just unconsciously did it with me while Penny always stayed stiff and tense. Lucy obviously had a fiery mouth.

"I wasn't staring. Anyways, why were you crying?" I asked.

"Always the mood breaker, huh? That's a story I'm not willing to explain to a prince I just met. Maybe another night," she waved her hand, "now tell me why you were trying to escape."

"Well-" I started, but she cut me of right away.

"Wait! Are you one of those snobby princes or are you the one who hates the castle so much?" She asked and I immediately burst out laughing.

"The second one," I admitted.

"Explains a lot. Lemme guess. Castle was too boring or too fancy for your taste. You got no freedom, what-so-ever. You escape from the palace every night," Lucy thought out loud then gasped.

"Whoops. Just got fired," she groaned and put her head in her hands, "shit, shit, shit, shit, shit."

She kept on repeating 'shit' over and over again until I laughed again.

"What are you talking about?" I asked, still having a grin on my face. It felt foreign, but it was nice to have this feeling every once in a while.

Wow. I am a sappy person.

"Surprised you haven't told me off yet. Usually I would be getting kicked out by now," Lucy yawned and checked her watch.

"Oh shit. It's midnight," she groaned again, "I gotta wake up early so I can eat pizza before breakfast."

This time I snorted, "pizza for breakfast?"

"Palace food is not really my thing by the way. I hate how you have to have all these manners when you could just eat a pizza in front of your TV with your hands," she wiggled her fingers in front of my face and I pushed them back down to her sides.

"I've never tried that before," I say, looking down to cover my blush of embarrassment.

"Don't see why would you. Princes don't just order pizza and watch TV," she yawned and scratched the back of her head.

I grinned, getting an idea, "maybe next time we should meet together and do that."

She gasped in shock and shook her head furiously.

"That's ridiculous. You just got lucky tonight. It's not like this is going to happen again," she snapped and I was pulled back into reality.

I was having too much fun talking with Lucienne that I forgot that we came from different social classes. She just made me really happy and carefree during all this time, unlike everyone else except for Monica and Leon.

"Night', Your Highness. Tomorrow's the jog and pizza after all," she got up and stretched. Lucy waved as she walked off, to what I assume is back to her room.

I smiled sadly and sighed. Maybe I could talk to her again somehow. She was the only person who truly made me feel relaxed. Then I got a lightbulb.

"You want me to be Prince Lucifer's personal bodyguard?" Lucy raised an eyebrow as she stood in front of all us.

We each had our own bodyguards. Monica had Joshua, my mother had Mark, my father had Kenny, Penny had Blake, and Leon had Silver. I was going to pick one this week and this was the perfect idea to get Lucienne closer to me.

Penny had absolute hate toward Lucy, but I could tell Leon was acting. I tried to ask why, but he simply ignored my questions. Leon seemed uncomfortable when it came to Lucienne.

"That would be wonderful if you could. Lucifer is in need of his personal bodyguard," mother explained with a humble smile on her face.

Lucy squinted her eyes with suspicion toward me. I waved and gave her a cheesy grin. Penelope hit my shoulder and clicked her tongue. She obviously hated this idea. I could see out of the corner of eye that Leon was getting giddy in his seat and Monica grabbed his hand to try to calm him down.

"If you can accept me," she shrugged and I internally cheered. Now I can finally talk to the girl who made me feel normal.

"I should go meet the rest of the bodyguard team," she bowed and dismissed herself.

After she left Monica decided to ask, "why her, Luci?"

I simply laughed and everyone looked up. I never laughed that much anymore, but that all changed when Lucienne came along.

"Because she's special, Monica."

Hi everyone! Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoyed this chapter. Lucifer's pretty dramatic, huh? Always the serious one. I'll try to get another chapter up, but I might get writer's block later on, so no promises.

Thanks as always.(:
