~ Lucienne POV ~
Today is the day of the ball and I look over the sleeveless, plain violet dress that Silver and I choose. It made me feel fat, but it was part of Silver's and the ball's requirements.
"We'll have to go search the castle before the party starts. Make sure you show your badge if there's a guard in the way," Joshua says sternly and we all nod and head our own directions.
I casually walk around, following the path in my head. Joshua and Silver had showed all of us a map and we were supposed to remember our route.
I'm pretty sure Mark didn't though...
I finish examining the hallways and walk to the ballroom. Mark is standing in front of the door, looking around frantically. He sees me and his face lights up.
"Lucy~! The person I want to see~!" He cheer happily and he skips towards my direction.
"I memorized your route, by the way," I reply, raising an eyebrow, "but you, sir, are coming with me."
"You're a life saver! If Joshua and Silver find out, they would kill me!" Mark exclaims.
"What do Joshua and Silver not need to find out?" We both head Joshua's stern voice and jump in our spots. Mark and I turn around to face Joshua, whose stone faced as usual, and Silver, who's impatiently tapping his foot.
"I knew it," Silver mumbled and Mark's features started to form a pout.
"It's not my fault! I was a bit distracted over... A movie!" Mark said.
"Whatever you say, but let's hurry up and inspect your route," Joshua sighed as Kenny and Blake appeared.
"Hand me the money, Blakey!" Kenny grinned as Blake groaned.
"I got it, I got it. I can't believe I lost to you..." Blake searches in his pockets and takes out a twenty dollar bill. Kenny snatches it quickly and sticks his tongue out.
"Why are you guys betting over me?!" Mark whines, flailing his arms around the air.
"Gosh, stop freaking out," Silver mumbles, "let's just hurry up so we can go to the ball."

"I knew we were going to be late!" I scolded as we all ran down the hallway.
"It's not my fault I got distracted! The cat was a-d-o-r-a-b-l-e~!" Mark replied, skipping happily.
"Just shut up and run!" Joshua snapped and we finally arrived to the ball room. Classical music was playing through the door.
We all stopped and sighed. Everyone straightened themselves up and I opened the door once they were all wore their plain white masks.
The nobles and royal families took this time to stop and stare at us as we walked through the crowd. These stupid bodyguards behind me were too sparkly and noticeable.
We all went our separate ways and I sat down on a open chair. I could see the bodyguards being asked to dance by different kinds of women.
The rich wore fancy masks that had many things attached to them. Feathers and sparkles were everywhere, leaving evidence of the masks that were worn.
I saw Lucifer walking down as everyone parted ways for him. He took the hand of the Hansel Princess that tried to push me down before and she giggled, going out for a dance with him. He mentions something and her obnoxious giggling stops as she snaps something back.
I study the crowd just in case if anybody looked suspicious. Since I was going to be the wall flower (and I refused to dance), it was my job to skim over the crowd for any intruders. My eyes seemed to always trail back to Lucifer and the Hansel Princess though.
The song finally ends and I sigh in relief, then clap a hand over my mouth.
I sit down the whole time, declining requests from men that want to dance with me. Dancing always hurts my feet; I don't understand how they always stand the ache on your feet the next day.
"So, how's the party?" I hear Lucifer's voice as he sits down next to me.
"Terrible," I mutter. I was extremely bored and absolutely hungry.
"We have an hour left. Don't worry," he laughs and I shake my head.
"I'm going to sit somewhere else now. I'm not supposed to be seen with you," I get up and move to a different table. Lucifer has a look of hurt on his face as I move away, and I can't ignore the pain igniting in my chest.

The party finally ends and I stand in front of the castle, waiting for my pizza. I hug myself so I could stay warm since I only have a jacket and some pajama pants on.
Come on, pizza guy.
I swear to the gods, if he makes me wait another five minutes, I'm gonna take a stick and shove it up his ass.
I hear my stomach grumble loudly just as the pizza car drives up slowly. The boy walks out cautiously and he spots me.
"P-Pizza delivery. I got a l-large meat lover's p-pizza," he stutters nervously.
"Finally," I grumbled, sticking a hand in my pocket to grab my wallet. Shit.
"I forgot my wallet..." I sigh, "can I go get it really quick?"
"Lucy, why are you out here?" I hear Lucifer's voice say.
"Obviously getting pizza. You got change on you, Princey?" I ask.
"Yes. Always do, for you," he laughs and the boy tenses up.
"Y-Your Highness!" He stutters and bows to Lucifer.
"Don't be so formal with me," Lucifer smiles sheepishly, "but here's some change. Please keep the extra."
Lucifer hands the boy a hundred dollars even though the pizza costs around seven dollars. The boy and I gape at the amount. Stupid rich people!
"I-I can't accept t-this, Y-Your H-Highness!" The boy gasps.
"No, please. Take it," Lucifer shakes his head as the boy takes the money with a shaky hand.
"T-thank you. T-thank you so much..." The boy bows over and over as he walks to the car, leaving a smiling Lucifer and a confused Lucienne holding her pizza.
I just spoke in third person. Whoopee.
"Thanks for the pizza," I murmured.
"No problem. Anything for my bodyguard," he smiles and pats my head.
I squint my eyes in suspicion just like I did when I first was told I was going to be his bodyguard. I shake my head as we both start to head back into the castle.
"We should go watch TV and eat pizza like you said when we first met," Lucifer says softly. He looks relaxed and content more than before at the party.
"Didn't I tell you before? There's no way," I reply.
"I'll sell anything for one day of being normal," he exclaims.
"Fine, but I'm kicking you out when the movie's over."
