~ Lucienne POV ~
Whenever I have to protect royals or nobles, it's always a pain. They always seem to think we're maids or butlers, expecting us to gather things for them. My mouth seems to have a mind of its own, always snapping back. My heart, on the other hand, always seems to clench in fear whenever my mouth spoke. My mind was neutral. It doesn't do anything about my heart or my mouth.
Bodyguards always stay for one household, but I kept on getting switched over and over again. There were some households I refused to get switched to (cause' I heard they were terrible), but some of the royals were nice to their bodyguards.
But somehow my mouth always said something bad.
I always tried to stay at least for a month, but it always ended up being a few weeks before I was told I would be switching again. Because of this, I was never put in action even though I was number one during all my courses an training.
They gave me one last chance at my home town. I didn't really like my home town because it gave me bad memories about my parents.
My parents have always wanted to be rich. One day they got their wish when my older brother, Leon, caught the eye of Princess Monica. My older sister, Penelope, was rumored to capture Prince Lucifer. I was the only one that didn't make my family proud and they hated me for it.
I was abused because I wasn't of any importance.
"Please exit the plane and thank you for flying with us," the attendant said as everyone unbuckle their seatbelt.
I grabbed my things and exited the plane, sniffing the air. I went to baggage claim and collected my suitcases. Since I moved around a lot, I didn't have a lot of things.
I called for a taxi and asked him to take me to the castle. He seemed reluctant, but agreed. We drove for a while and finally arrived an hour later. Penelope and Leon had took me here once and it still has that fairy tale look.
I paid the driver and he drove away quickly. Two guards walked up to me and one of them lowered his sunglasses so he can study me. I wasn't wearing my uniform after all.
"I'm Lucienne Xavier," I hold up my badge, "one of the new bodyguards for the royals."
The guard with the sunglasses nods, "I'll escort you into your room."
"Thanks," I reply, studying the place. There were a few changes here and there, but most things stayed the same.
"Hey, stop what you're doing!" I heard someone yell and the guard and I spun around.
There was a man running through the gardens and the guard motions me to stay as he chases after the unknown man.
"Oh my god, this is my job..." I mutter and run around to a shortcut.
If my calculations were correct, then I would be able to reach this man if he's trying to run into the castle. I jumped, taking a chance, and landed on the man.
I told you I was pretty good at my job.
"Hand me some cuffs!" I yell, holding the man's hands behind his back. Everyone gives me shocked stares as Sunglasses hands me some hand cuffs.
I click them on and hand him to the police who have started to arrive. He starts to curse like a mad rapper as I flipped the bird to him.
"That was amazing," Sunglasses gasped.
"What would be even more amazing is if you tell me your name so I don't have to keep on calling you 'Sunglasses'," I snap, even though there was nothing to be mad about.
He laughed, "well, aren't you snappy.
My name's Kenny by the way.""Escort me to my room so I can put on my uniform. I have to go meet those royals," I sigh as we walk back to my fallen suitcase.

"I'm Lucienne Xavier," I bow, "glad to be at your service."
My older sister and my older brother scoff as they studies me. Prince Lucifer and Prince Monica exchange glances of interest. The King and Queen smile happily at me.
"I hope you take care of us, Miss. Lucienne," the King laughs heartily.
"Lucy's fine," I yawned.
Kenny grins widely as I stick my hands in my black jean shorts.
"She captured a run in earlier today," Kenny shrugged, giving me a perky look.
I blush, punching him in the shoulder hard.
"Ow! That hurt!" Kenny gasped and held his shoulder.
The royals laugh at us except for Penelope and Leon. They give me even more disgusted looks than before. I clear my throat and start swaying back and forth.
"I should go now. Sorry for disrupting you," I bow again and turn my back.
Kenny and I walk side by side next to each other.
"I have never seen a uniform like yours," he exclaimed.
I was wearing the regular top which was a white button up with a tie and black jacket. Instead of pants and those fancy shoes, I wore black jean shorts that went right above my knees and black combat boots.
"No one has a uniform like mine," I roll my eyes, "there aren't many female bodyguards after all."
"You remember where your room is at?" He asked.
"Of course I do. I'm not an old woman yet, Kenford," I reply, groaning.
He laughed and scratched his cheek, "sorry, but it's manners after all."
"Yeah, yeah. Goodnight, Kenny," I yawned. It was getting pretty late after all since it was around six or seven when I arrived. It was probably ten at least and bodyguards always have to wake up early.
When I first started, I hated waking up early in the morning. Now it's a usual routine and I could probably go jogging in the morning if I wanted to.
Kenny pats my head and we go off into separate directions since my room is a little more farther away than the other bodyguards. From what I've heard, I was the only female.
I close the door and sigh, heading toward my closet. The room was huge and had a closet that could easily slide open. There was a queen sized bed and a nightstand next to it. The mirror was placed on the wall across the bed.
I unpacked my things and dressed in a baggy shirt with basketball shorts, retying my hair into a ponytail. I wore socks and sandals, heading out to the garden.
Nothing bad could go wrong in the garden.
I sat down on a bench close to the exit, keeping cautious of guards on night duty. I studied the stars, taking notice of the constellations that appeared. The sky was clear and you could easily notice all the stars shining brightly.
Cheesy, but true.
Sometimes I wished that my parents could be more proud of me. They always have been disappointed in me ever since Leon and Princess Monica fell in love with each other. I put my head in my hands as a tear starts to trickle down my cheek. I'm a bodyguard. Why am I crying?
There was a rustle in the bushes and I stand up quickly. It was pretty quiet and cautious, so it was probably a thief.
"Who the hell is there?" I say to what seems like air. I absolutely know someone's there.
"Please don't tell," I hear a husky voice reply quietly. I raise an eyebrow as Prince Lucifer rises from the bushes.

New story idea. Hope you like it. Probably not going to be finished at all, but it's still something. Happy Belated New Years to everyone.(:
