To give me a lame excuse. It's with me that your messing. At the same old confession. Your no one that something would lose. Ah. Watch out now. A black out. There's no doubt. You can't have it. Control you. I'll own you. I'll show you but you still can't have it’

I sat with the boys as we watched random crappy TV before the phone rang, and Storm got it before passing it to me.

“Is this Ms. Burns?” A voice asked.

“Yes… it is,” I replied, pain lacing my voice.

“I am afraid to tell you that your boyfriend was in a car accident, and is in hospital.” The voice said and I froze, the phone slipped out of my hand and hit the ground with a bang.

I looked up at the people around me as tears slipped down my cheeks.

“H-He was in a car accident… H-He’s in hospital” I whispered as both Sage and Storm where by my side in a heartbeat.

“We’ll take you to go and see him now.” Storm said, before I was helped up and walked to the car.

My body was too numb to do anything, and everything went by in a blur as we arrived in the hospital parking lot. The car was parked and I was helped out, still in shock as we got to the reception desk.

“Dante Ryans?” Storm said and the nurse nodded.

“He’s in room 306.” She said before she saw me.

“You must be Eri… He isn’t in too bad a state, but he’s unconscious at the moment.” She said to me and I nodded.

I nodded before I was led down the hall, and we arrived at a room with ‘306’ on the door. I pushed it open and walked in, before my ears where filled with the steady beeping of the machine that checked his heart. I walked over to him and sat down on the chair that was beside him, before I gently took his hand. I looked at his unconscious form, and a few more tears slipped down my cheeks as I took deep breaths.

“Would you like to be alone with him?” Sage asked, and I looked over at them before nodding.

“Yes please.” I whispered my voice hoarse.

“OK… We will be in the hall if you need us.” Storm replied before they each kissed one of my cheeks, and walked out the room, leaving me alone with Dante.

“Dante? I love you.” I whispered as I put my head on our hands.

“Please wake up… Please come back to me… I can’t lose you.” I continued as I looked up at him.

I stayed by Dante’s side for three days. My head was on his hand, as I slept beside him. I hadn’t left his side at all. Suddenly I felt his fingers move, and I shot awake. I looked up at him.

“Dante?” I asked as I looked up at him.

His eyes flickered open and I smiled.

“Dante?” I asked again, and he smiled a little bit.

“Eri?” He asked softly and I nodded before I kissed his cheek.

“Eri… I missed you so much… I had to get back.” He said in a hoarse voice, and I looked up at him.

He had some cuts and bruises, but to be honest, he wasn’t actually that bad. I was so glad he wasn’t in a worse condition.

“It’s OK baby… I’m here… You’re with me now.” I cooed as I gently stroked his hair and kissed his cheek again.

“I love you so much Dante… I was so worried.” I whispered.

“I love you so much too Eri.” He whispered back and I smiled a little, as I pulled him a little closer to myself.

I rested my head on his as I sat on the chair and held him. Soon Dante moved over a little and patted the space next to him. I looked over at him before nodding, and sitting on the bed beside him.

“E… Do you want food?” Storm asked before he stopped as he saw Dante.

“Dante… You’re awake… Eri hasn’t left your side since she got here!” He said which made Dante smile a little more.

I cuddled up with Dante a little before looking over at Storm.

“Would you both like food?” He asked.

“Yes please.” I replied before Dante nodded.

“Yes please.” Dante replied, and Storm nodded before going out to go and getting food.
