August 10, 2020.
New York City.

Shoving her last shirt into her luggage, Maria sighed with satisfaction. 'Packing is one hell of a job' she thought. Maria stood, her legs sore from squatting in-front of her dresser and suitcase for what seemed to be hours. Propping her suitcase up she hurried out of her room and into the dining room, greeting her godfather with a kiss on the cheek. "Hi Papa," She greeted sitting across from him and a plate of Dinner her god-mother had prepared. "Still havin' trouble with those dumbass agents?" She asked. Papa gave her a look, he didn't like her cursing at home, but since it was directed towards the FBI, he didn't mind it as much.

He sighed, and with a heave he pushed himself out of his chair and turned to Maria, "Your flight's at 10 Mary, did ya' pack like i told you to?" He raised a brow. Maria nodded with excitement, she had a flight to Italy to stay with her grandmother until the whole FBI thing blew over and they were in the clear.

You see, since Maria was the goddaughter of the Donald Goldvez, she was technically involved in their family Mafia crimes. And she didn't want to have to testify against her Papa if they did get caught, which is why she's leaving. She must admit, she was going to miss her small New York town, i mean she did grow up here after all.

Maria swallowed the last of her food and collected her plate, walking it to the sink. Her Papa smiled, placing a hand on her shoulder. The coldness of his many gold rings against her shoulder was familiar to Maria, she had known that touch her whole life. She smiled at him before turning back to her dishes. "I'm gonna miss you Mary, you know that right?" Maria nodded and dried her hands with a towel while turning towards Papa. "I know, but it's only for a little bit, right?" She asked, he nodded removing his hand from her shoulder. "Now go get ready, we're still havin' that going away party for ya." She groaned, Maria wasn't too fond of her fathers parties, but this one was for her so she had to go.

"Alright, alright.." She hooped to her room, gathering a towel, a robe, and some undergarments for a shower. She started the shower and stepped in, almost burning hot, just how she liked it.

As she washed her hair, she thought about the party she'd be attending in a few hours. About the food, the guests. Maybe one guest in particular. Jayson Robinson.. her current crush, actually. He was about 5'9, blonde hair, freckles, and a smile that could make any girls panties a slip and slide with one look. And god did she love it.

After Maria's shower she got dressed, a dark blue silk, slip-on dress. Spaghetti strap and stopped mid thigh. One of her favorites, just not the color. Her family hated the color red, so she never wore it, the only time her family wore red is if they were out to kill somebody. So Maria settled with blue as her color. After straightening her hair and finishing her makeup, she slipped on her heels and walked out of her room.

She greeted her family at the kitchen, her aunt, uncles, cousins, and her godfather, all there and waiting. Her smaller cousins ran around her, probably playing cops and robbers or something similar. Her aunt Rose greeted her with a kiss on the cheek and a hug, the woman was similar to her sister. "Oh my, Maria! You look gorgeous!" She said, "Is this for Jayson?" She whispered, wiggling her eyebrows and giggled. Maria gasped and swat at her aunt, a red blush creeping on her face. "Won't you shush it Rose!" She scoffed as they all started to get settled into their cars.

During the drive there, Jayson has been texting Maria, which was a rare occasion. The texts were to say the least explicit. And made Maria squirm in her seat, she had gotten more nervous then before.

Soon, they reached the hotel, which her Papa had threatened the owner to let him conduct Maria's party here or else he'd probably be dead. The hotel was big, and they'd be using the lounge area on the main floor for the party. She stepped out of the car, staring up at the hotel as she walked, suddenly, she felt a hand on her waist. She look over, finding the smile of Jayson Robinson in her sights. 'Fwooooshhh.' She thought as she smiled back. "Well, hello stranger." She flirted, walking inside with him and taking a seat, "Well, hello gorgeous." He replied.
