Charlie decided today, she was going to hang out with her brother. She had just dropped her daughter off for her first day of preschool. For the most part, Charlie was at ease, but a little part of her worried for the little girl who she found in Switzerland. For the girl who always managed to somehow worm her way into the british governments, a high functioning sociopath detective, an assassin/secret agent with psychopathic tendencies, and everyone else's heart. The little girl who loves pancakes, and carries around a stuffed elephant everywhere she goes. But she knew that that little girl was strong, and could survive anything. Especially preschool.

Shaking her thoughts out of her head, Charlie got out of the car, and started walking into the police station.

Walking into Greg's office, she finds Sherlock talking onto the phone with some man who was crying. "Whats going on?" she asks Greg.

"Someones got a bomb strapped to them. Some sicko has been playing games with us all week. Sherlock has to solve these puzzles in order for them to give out their location" he replied.

Charlie tried to listen to the guy on the phone, but he was a stuttering mess. "Dear Lord," she said, snatching the phone from Sherlock.

"Calm down, you have a bomb strapped on you, you're not actually dying, just getting threatened. If you want us to help you, you need to calm down. Take deep breaths, that's it, now repeat the words, nice and clearly so we can understand them, and help you out." She said.

Once the guy had calmed down, Charlie turned to the others in the room, who all looked shocked "What?" she asked "It worked didn't it? And he isn't actually dying, just being threatened"

"You're a psychopath!" Anderson yelled, walking into the room

"Psychopathic tendencies" she said absentmindedly. "This is boring, I thought it would be fun, but clearly it's not. No wonder why I didn't become a detective. Anyways, before I leave, Greg movie night at my place next week"

Upon seeing a nod from the DI, she said "I'm gonna grab a coffee. See ya" and she walked out, leaving a room of shocked faces, and an amused Sherlock.

"Has she always been like that?" John asked.

"Yes"

A week later, Mycroft invited Charlie to dinner. They decided on an expensive restaurant close to baker street. "So" Charlie started "Having fun running Britain?"

Mycroft gave her a look "It's ok. No nation threatening disasters as of yet. Speaking of Britain, have you visited Buckingham yet?"

Charlie goaned. The Holmes and the royal family was quite close. Charlie especially. The queen practically called her her own grandchild, not to mention she was best friends with the two princes. Sherlock tends to stay away from them, and Mycroft was just another one under service to the crown, but Charlie was like family to them.

"No. Not yet" she said. The only time she had for a visit was really late at night, and she didn't think it was a great idea to show up at one oclock in the morning.

"Well you should. They don't even know you have a child yet." Mycroft chastised.

"I just haven't had time yet. I'll do it soon. Promise" she smiled.

After they ate, Charlie hugged Mycroft and started walking. She wanted to have a little stroll through the city. It was already 7 oclock, and she picked up Chloe from preschool before dinner. She was sure Andrew had already tucked her in, and started doing his nightly routine cleaning the house.

Taking out her ear buds, she started to hum along to Hamelton when she bumped into someone. It was Jim, Molly's boyfriend if she recalled correctly.
