eddy chen always had this serious crush on one of his classmates. that boy he always adores, that boy with a familiar dark hair and thick glasses, with an adorable face. really, how could someone not like brett yang?

so, here's the thing. valentine's day is coming real soon and eddy is preparing a special gift for brett. his friend ray offered to help him to go to the mall about this kind of situation. yes, eddy needs to stand out among other admirers of brett. he also noticed that everyday, the girls would follow brett all around the school and give him chocolates or letters. but this time, he will win and get brett's heart. he just knew it. he would stand out among all.

after doing all of his assignments, he felt his phone vibrate. it's weekend today but there's no excuse for him to let his assignments unfinished, so he got it all done before going to the mall with his friend, ray. ray agreed to help him after all.

ray [3:21 PM] : yo eddy! where are you at now?

eddy [3:21 PM] : on my way, thank you for agreeing to help me lol.

ray [3:23 PM] : of course, i wouldn't let my friend just get defeated by other girls out there. i'm sure your gift will be fine. i thought about it now.

eddy [3:25 PM] : thanks a lot, man. coming over there now!

eddy greeted ray with a smile as soon as he found him. he was deeply curious about ray's idea. he whispered to him that they should be careful and keep their idea as a secret so that none of brett's other admirers would steal it.

when he noticed they're at a toy store, he furrowed his eyebrows and tapped ray's shoulder lightly.

"what are we doing in here? what gift did you thought about? you know that he's not a kid, right?" eddy whispered to him. ray chuckled quietly.

"a big ass teddy bear, duhh. i'm sure he's not gonna resist that. and we're gonna get a teddy bear that is even bigger than him," ray and eddy did a high-five, smiling widely.

they looked for big stuffed bears in there.

"ray, do you think this would be fine? i actually don't know his favorite color so let's just get this brown fluffy teddy bear," eddy spoke. ray nodded eagerly, "that one is pretty cute. let's purchase that now, it should be fine."

this is a very good idea.

"sis!!!" eddy knocked at belle's room repeatedly, clutching the massive teddy bear in his arms.

belle opened the door carefully. "why, what happened? what do you need?"

eddy gestured at the teddy bear he was holding but belle couldn't take a guess. so eddy just marched inside his sister's room, "so, i forgot to ask ray how to give this gift to brett." belle laughed loudly.

"well, i think, just give it to him just like that, it's gonna be good i swear," belle answered rummaging for something in her wooden drawers. eddy was curious about it, he stood beside his sister, peeking at it.

"found it!"

belle handed him the red card with a heart in it, "write what you want to say to brett in here and we'll attach it with the teddy bear."

eddy pouted, "what if he doesn't find this?" belle smiled and rubbed his brother's back carefully to calm him down, "don't think about it too much eddy, i'm sure it will be visible for him. now what are you gonna write in there?"

"of course it's a secret!!" he snatched the card and went to his room.

Valentine's Day!

he shifted anxiously, standing in front of the tarpaulin in their school. holding a large teddy bear with him, a frown on his face while walking towards their classroom. eddy successfully managed to ignore the stares from the other people because of how noticeably large his gift was. he sighed and when he entered the classroom, there are already so many people surrounding brett.

'ugh these girls again, brett can't catch a break' he cursed mentally, rolling his eyes.

you can do it eddy. just give it to him. act cool and never look back after you hand the gift to him.

eddy walked towards brett, the ladies paused and all of them stared at eddy, including brett. eddy sighed deeply and handed him the large teddy bear, the girls retreated because there was no space for them anymore. that teddy bear sure was big.

"happy valentines," eddy spoke, retreating to his seat to read a book. brett sat in there dumbfounded, holding a large ass teddy bear. he hugged it tight, he had always wanted one of these but he never got one so thankfully, someone gave him one and the fact that it was eddy that did so. eddy witnessed it and sighed in relief.

he got nervous when brett faced him, "how will i take this home? it's bigger than me," he spoke with a very soft voice, but the others in the class can hear. he turned away from eddy but smiled softly afterwards.

he saw a tag floating that is attached neatly to the teddy bear, he reached for it.

brett slowly opened the card.

'i love you. happy valentines. you can name it whatever you want i'm really bad at naming things...and i hope you like my present for you.'

brett kept the card inside his bag, "happy valentines," he mumbled. he will paste the card on his journal later.

eddy went home and was super duper exhausted from class. but it all went away went he felt his phone vibrated in his pocket. he frowned and immediately fished his cellphone out of his pocket. who in the right mind would text him at this tim-

unknown [4:05 PM] : hi, um, dont ask how i found your number but i just wanted to say...thanks for the teddy bear. i really like it !!

eddy's eyes widened as he threw his jacket and backpack across the room and jumped on his bed, it looks like he has won. "oh i haven't replied," he told himself after some series of screaming and punching on his pillow.

eddy [4:12 PM] : aww, sure, welcome! only for you <3 if you want i'll buy you something else next time.

he named brett's contact number.

and how could he not freak out from that?
