Murae had some experiences with volleyball, so Hinata didn't have to teach him much. He was much better at receiving than Hinata was, and his spikes were on par with standard volleyball players, however, just a little slower and with less vigor. He held up fine by himself, so Hinata just taught him some techniques that he'd learned.

In that same month of April, Hinata and Murae decided that they would show up on the last day of tryout, having already delayed it long enough to teach Murae what he needed to learn. As of now, they are standing idly on the step of the gym, waiting for someone to come and process the tryouts.

After waiting for a long time, Hinata got impatient and excused himself to the vending machine so that he could buy something to drink. The run there should be short, but he bumped into someone as he turned the corner. He heard something drop to the ground and looked down to see a small box of milk half drained out from where the nozzle was stabbed opened by a straw.

"I'm sorry!"

"Oi, it's you.." a deep voice said with recognition. He looked up, and when he saw the person he slammed into, he nearly fainted.

"Kageyama-san!" he said dumbly. The young man was in his school uniform, but he looked overtly handsome in them. His shoulder grew broader, and his face, sharpened with youth, would make him an eye candy to a lot of girls. The only thing that didn't change was his attitude, and Hinata bit the inside of his cheeks with a heavy heart. He can run away all he wants, but it seems like he can't hide. A rejection was still a rejection no matter the past or present.

"What are you so surprised for?" Kageyama asked grumpily and picked up the carton of milk from the ground. Hinata scampered back in order to give Kageyama some room. He met Kageyama's eyes from above, but it was a quick one.

"Sorry, I'll buy you another one," he said shortly, impatient to leave. Facing the raven hair boy whom he confessed just a year ago, Hinata was short on words and on height. He's attentive to his relationships because he doesn't want others to be awkward with him and vise versa; his second impression, however, still remains the same, if not a little bit more embarrassing.

"As you should, idiot," Kageyama said after brooding over it for a bit. He was going to turn down the offer, but having Hinata spend a little money on him didn't sound so bad.

"R-right."

Hinata was, to some degree, depressed that Kageyama accepted the offer without a second thought about how penniless he might just be. Must he bite off more than he can chew? Money doesn't grow on trees, and he knows this, yet it's still flying out of his pocket left and right; In addition to having to learn how to spend his money, he'll also have to learn how to shut up soon, or he might really go broke.

He walked to the vending machine after reprimanding himself and started inserting money into the slot. There was a couple of footsteps behind him but he was too busy picking out the milk to care, minding his own business and all.

"What's this, you're also here King?" Another person jest sarcastically. After hearing that voice, Hinata was struck by another lightning. He stood facing the machine motionlessly, beginning to think he went to this school for a reunion rather than volleyball.

Hinata dropped despondently and moved closer to the vending machine, practically slamming his entire body onto the glass panel that was separating him from his snacks. These two behind him– it can't be a coincidence, right? He strained his body to turn around, facing three people, one being a new face and groaned internally.

"What do you want?" Kageyama huffed out without taking a second glance, "Practice doesn't start until after tryouts."

"What I want is none of your business, unless you want to be a busy body and pry."
