{Daisy POV}
"That color does not look good on you." Mrs Amy, Effy's mom, said to her.
"Why do I have to get a dress? It's a concert not a formal event." Effy complained.
"Well you, your sisters, and Daisy are going to a graduation next month. So you're getting the dresses now." She explained.
"Whose graduation are we going to?" Effy asked while looking at herself in the mirror. She kept turning in the dress for a better angle.
"We are going to Brooke's graduation from UNCP and Daisy will be living with us because her parents will be out of town again." Effy turned to face me.
I mouthed her an 'oh yeah' and did a little happy dance while she laughed at me. When she stopped laughing at me she turned serious.
"Daisy, what do you think of this dress? Yes or No?" She was still in the dress that her mom said she didn't like. I can't lie to her, it was a very pretty dress, just not her color.
"No, it's not your color." I said plainly. She went back in to put the next one on. I started to look around for a dress since I am going to. I was standing on the edge of the section, right next to where people walk by. I turned around quickly to look at the other side when I ran into somebody. A guy turned to look at me. He looked to be about 19 or 20. He had light brown hair that came to his brown eyes. He was wearing sunglasses that didn't shade anything.
"I am so sorry I didn't think to check to see if anybody was walking behind me." I apologized to him.
He started laughing at me, but it wasn't a mean laugh. "Don't worry about it, I'm Josh."
"I'm Daisy," We shook hands after out introduction. "So Josh, what are-"
"Daisy! Where did you go?" Effy voice rang to my ears.
"I have to go and again I am so sorry." I turned around and started walking in between the clothes, the way I came.
"Daisy, wait!" I turned back around to see Josh walking towards me. "I'd love to see you again. I know this is a random question but are you a fan of One Direction?" I nodded my head in reply. "Are you going to their concert in Atlanta?"
"I am. My friend, Effy, and I won the contest they gave to Fort Rucker." I replied with a big smile on my face.
"Great, I guess I will see you there then." He smiled down at me and I smiled back even wider if I could. Then I realized what he said.
"Yeah I guess. Wait, what? How will I see you there?" I asked quickly in fear of not being answered by him.
"I promise I will explain everything to you later. Can I have your number?" Josh asked a little nervous about it.
"Umm yeah... sure." I wrote down my number down on a napkin and gave it to him. He smiled and started walking in the other direction.
I wonder how we are going to see each other at the concert. It's not like we are going to have seats next to each other at the concert. My phone buzzed a few minutes later. The number was unknown in my phone. I opened it anyways.
Unknown: Hey, I was wondering if you would like to hangout tomorrow. Maybe we could meet at the Starbucks in the food court here around 2-ish? -Josh
When I saw who it was from a smile appeared on my face. I saved his number in my phone as a contact and texted him back.
Me: Sure! Am I going to meet you here or vice versa?
Josh: I guess it depends who makes it here first but I will try to meet you here. I will be sitting in the seats outside if I get here first. See you then :)
I was about to text back when I remembered I was here to get a dress for graduation. I turned around quickly to see Effy standing there. My smile quickly faded when I saw she was frowning and looked a little mad. Her frown quickly disappeared and a small smile appeared.
"Any new things you would like to tell me?" I knew she saw Josh and was talking about our exchange in numbers.
"Like what?" I tried to act as if I had no idea what she was talking about, even thought I did know.
"Like what! Like who was that cute guy that was over here two minutes ago. And by the looks of everything I saw, you got his number." Effy explained. I couldn't help but cave in as a smile grew on my face.
"Yeah I did, his name is Josh. We are hanging out tomorrow at the Starbucks here." I replied.
"He looked familiar, don't you think?" She asked me. I thought back to his appearance. Now that she mentions that he does look familiar.
"Yeah he does a little bit. That's weird., I just meet him and he looks like somebody we know. Anyways that dress looks great on you."
The dress was a strapless navy blue that stopped right above the knee. There was a white lace covering the blue and her shoulders.
When we checked out it was already dark outside. It was half an hour drive back to the post. The drive back was silent because everyone was tired. Effy fell asleep in the passenger seat. I had managed to keep myself the whole car ride.
When we arrived to the house everyone went straight to bed. Nobody noticed we didn't eat dinner except for me, but I didn't say anything because I wasn't hungry.
